This week I have seen my own designs come to life in a set of stamps, I am hugely thrilled.

AALLandCreate is a team of designers who all create together and are here to encourage like minded individuals to join along. We offer on-line workshops/classes for Cards/Layouts, Mini Albums and Mixed Media and Art Journal projects.

I have already created a few samples using my stamps and I have my third sample to highlight today, hopefully giving you some inspiration.

I have used Wendy Vecchi's Enamel Accents to create my background combined with a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil.

I am really enjoying bringing my samples to life using my new stamps which are available HERE.

Loving the colours on this piece and the texture (which you cannot capture on a picture) is fantastic, almost a glossy raised feel to the background.

I love my quirky bird image and I have added a circle of Enamel Accents around my bird to act as a spotlight.

I stamped my sentiment with Black Archival Ink and added a few delicate splatters of white paint.

Seeing Double

I decided to play along with A Vintage Journey challenge today, the theme of "through the looking glass" had me pulling out products I had not used for a while which is always fun.

I began with a piece of Tim Holtz textured surfaces which I matted onto a piece of corrugated card, perfect textural piece for my design. I applied Wendy Vecchi Crackled Texture Paste trough Tim Holtz Splotches Layering Stencil to add yet further texture and another layer to my design.

I die cut two mirrors from Speciality Stamping Paper using Tim Holtz Deco Mirror Die and coloured with Archival Re-inkers. I then die cut a second circle from Speciality Stamping Paper and stamped the face image onto each using Tim Holtz Nature Walk stamp set. I die cut a third layer from Clearly For Art and stamped mirror image onto the front using StazOn ink. I also added Remnant Rubs for added interest.

From this picture you can see the crackle a lot clearer. I also included Black Embossing Paste applied through Tim Holtz Dot Fade Layering Stencil.

I also included a flash card which I aged with Distress Inks and added a Remnant Rub, clip and number brad along with a piece of film strip ribbon. I also added a vintage optical lense stamped with the bird from the Nature Walk stamp set.

Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 24

I thought I would have a bit of fun this week and join in the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 24, Remnant Rub Resist, page 51 of Tim's Compendium of Curiosities Volume 111.There is a fabulous prize on offer from the Funkie Junkie Boutique and also a wonderful prize from Tim and Mario.

I thought I would have some fun with Tim's Bird Crazy stamp set this week, showcasing them on an ATB using Eileen Hull's block/cube die. I thought this would be perfect to give as a gift with chocolates over the Easter period. My Crazy Birds are dressed in their Easter Bonnet's and have been set against a background using Tim Holtz Remnant Rub Resist technique using Abandoned Coral and Mustard Seed Distress Inks, loving these colours together. I have also added an egg to the top covered with Buttercup embossing powder, inspired by Wendy Vecchi, adding Chitchat stickers for added interest. I have also included the head of a rabbit cut using Tim Holtz Easter Elements die, die cutting several layers and adhering them together to give dimension and then covering the rabbit's head with Vintage Photo Distress Glitter.

These Crazy Birds are great fun and so quirky, I love them.

I picked some moss from my garden and added to the top of my ATB, I love the natural feel this gives and the rabbit looks like he is just peering out from the moss, love it.

I have decorated all four sides using Tim's technique and added a different Crazy Bird to each side. Each bird is wearing a different bonnet for the special Easter holidays! Each hat has been covered with Wendy Vecchi Embossing Powders.

I love these hat's and will be using them again. I think these birds would look great for halloween wearing a halloween hat!

This Crazy Bird has made an extra effort and is even wearing a bow tie lol.
