Botanical Journal

Welcome, today I have a small journal, decorated using my A4 Stamp Numbered Botanical #110 from AALLandCreate.
I love creating these small books and this time around I opted for my Botanical stamp set, stamping the fern with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
I die cut a circle from scrap card and then blended Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink lightly over the circular aperture to give spotlights to my front and back covers.
I had fun stamping the fern onto shrink plastic and adding the smaller fern as an embellishment to my design. I also stamped the Fern wording and numbers onto shrink for further interest.
I also incorporated some vintage wooden numbers to coordinate with the numbers in my stamp design.
I love the numbers stamped on my spine, adding a touch more detail to my book.
This stamp has so many wonderful small details and so many possibilities. This picture shows some of that fine detail.
I also incorporated some wooden slices stamped with some of the number detail in the stamp.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. Tracy x x

Find Beauty in the Ordinary

Welcome, today I have a small mixed media book, decorated using my A4 Stamp Eclectic Silhouette #113 from AALLandCreate.

I began by adding some subtle stencilling to my background and then adding colour, applying Distress Oxide Bundled Sage to a piece of Acetate, spritzing with water and then pressing the ink onto my background.  I allowed the ink to dry naturally.
I opted to use the Dragonfly this time around from my A4 stamp, adding a couple of layers to the wings for added dimension.
I applied Dina Wakley Fuchsia Acrylic Paint to my stamp, adding a light layer of paint to the stamp and applying the paint with a Brayer. I then stamped the image onto my background. Remember to clean your stamp after using paints.
I added a subtle touch of Crackle Paste to the background and also incorporated a mini spanner for the body, adding further dimension to the design.
A couple of Jump Rings add further interest along with a few delicate splatters of Lime Acrylic Paint.
I used a Distress Crayon over Stencil #39 and then blended the colour with my finger to blend.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your comments and feedback. Tracy x x

Don't Forget To Fly

Welcome today I have a little book for you decorated using my Butterfly stamp from AALLandCreate. You can find the stamp HERE.
I recently had a play day at my lovely friend Anne Redfern's house along with Rita and Annie and it was an absolutely fantastic day to just spend time with like-minded creatives. I started the covers of this book at Anne's house and then continued with the process once I arrived home. Eileen Hull's Passport Book is one of my favourite dies and has so many possibilites when combined with different mediums.
I painted my covers and also incorporated lots of texture to create a wonderfully tactile piece.
I also incorporated added texture, applying Texture Paste over Autour de Mwa's stencil #28 Broken Circle which you can find HERE.
I stamped my butterfly image onto music paper and then applied Seth Apter's Baked Texture Vintage Beeswax over the wings, adding several layers for added texture. I also applied some delicate touches of gold with Pebeo Wax.
I also incorporated an ATC Coin to give further dimension along with some rusty tin wire and some jump rings added randomly to the background. The focal piece is backed onto a piece of torn music paper.

The products used in ths piece are shown below:

Field Notes

Welcome to my weekly post for AALLandCreate and today is a very special post as today I can showcase one of my designs using one of my new releases. You can find a list of our stockists HERE.
I have decorated a passport book using my new A4 stamp Numbered Botanical which I have to say I am absolutely delighted with. The detail is truly amazing and so many possibilites. This time around I combined my stamps with Eileen Hull's Passport Die.
I have added the stamped design to both front and back cover and the spine.
Touches of Lime paint to add just a hint of colour and I also incorporated vintage watch parts.
The watch rim highlights the detail on the fern a little further and I also incorporated some Remnant Rubs to the top of the watch glass piece.
I adore the background on this stamp and I can see me using it many times. A few delicate splatters of paint are added for further interest along with a vintage nail.
There are so many layers on this stamp and so many possibilities.
I hope you enjoy my first showcase of one of my new releases. I also incorporated my Date It Stamp to add a touch more detail to the cover.

The stamps used in my project today are shown below:

AALLandCreate New Release

Hi and welcome today I have a further sample for you using the wonderful AALLandCreate new release.

I opted to combine the AALLandCreate stamps with one of my favourite dies the ScoreBoard XL Passport die. I applied Texture Paste over the AALLandCreate Stencil which you can find HERE.

Once the Paste was completely dry I then applied Dina Wakley's Heavy Body Acrylic paint over the top.
I machine stitched my front and back covers and added stamped pages inside. I also repeated the stencilling on the back of the cover. To highlight the wonderful texture further I applied DecoArt Metallic Lustre Gold Rush over the top of the raised areas.
I applied Texture Paste to a wooden frame, applying the Paste with a Palette knife randomly and applying using a dabbing motion to give more Texture to the Paste. Once the Paste was dry I then added a coat of Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paint and added Metallic Lustre over the top.  I also added a gold trim around the edges of the frame to give a further opulent feel to the piece.

I coloured a piece of white card with Distress Inks and then stamped the eye image onto the inked card using Black Archival Ink. The eye stamp is available HERE. We also have a list of stockists on the site too.
Before adding any layers of paint I addede some numbers to the book to add a further layer of interest. I also included a little spoon which I also painted with paints and added a few touches of Metallic Lustre.
I also added a monocle to the top of the eye to highlight further and also included an eye created from Shrink Plastic.
I added some stencilling to the inside of my book using the wonderful compass stencil, which you can find HERE. I then stamped the eye over the top of the stencilling.
This page showcases the wonderful light bulb images along with some stencilling using Stencil Number 9 which you can find HERE. I also included a touch of background stamping using Stamp Number 25 which you can find HERE.
I added further stamping and stencilling to the other pages using Distress Oxides.
