Flower Stems

Today I am showcasing a card I created as one of my demo pieces from a few shows I have attended around the country, using my A5 Stamp "Hope" #200, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
My Gel Press is getting a lot of use just lately and I have to say I am really enjoying the process of just creating backgrounds and I am loving some of the results.

This background was created with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paints in Sour Grapes, Lake Winaka and Sugar Plum and I have to say I adore these colours together.
I love the fact that the Fresco Finish Paints dry a little quicker on the Gel Press so give me some white open areas in my design which I find really pleasing to the eye.
Torn Parchment has been included to house my sentiment and to add a touch more texture. I have also added a touch of stamping to the bottom of my card using the little daisy stamp from my other A5 Stamp Set "Eclectic Stems" #199.
I applied the Fresco Finish Paints to my Gel press then went back and added touches of the Lake Winaka to the Gel Press and lightly touched my card onto the Gel Press to achieve just a light touch of the colour.
I also used the Lotza Dotz stencil to give a further layer of interest in my background. Laying the stencil onto the painted backdrop on my Gel Press.

Wishing You Happy Everything

Today I am showcasing a card I created as one of my demo pieces during my recent One Day Special on Hochanda, using my A5 Stamp "Eclectic Stems" #199, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I created a marbled backdrop using shaving foam, I adore those pops of colour.
I have added touches of texture to the backdrop to add a further interest.
A touch of dimension to the flower along with some delicate splatters of white paint.
I also included a circular piece of wire as a spotlight along with some vintage book pages for added interest.
Thanks so much for stopping by, Tracy x x

Imagine

Today I am showcasing a card created entirely from leftovers, leftover paint, inky backgrounds etc., using my A5 Stamp "Hope" #200, combined with my background A6 Stamp "Background Mash-up" #210 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
The background layer was excess paint I brayered onto my card from a previous project and I thought it was too good just to add to the bin.
The flower was stamped onto another background that was excess paint brayered onto a scrap of card and I simply stamped my flower head onto the painted backdrop three times and then adhered them together to create a dimensional flower.
I also added some delicate stencilling which was, once again, excess paste from my stencil from a previous project and I simply wiped over the stencil onto this card, using only the excess paste remaining on the stencil.
I doodled some black lines around the edges of my card to make everything pop and I also included a pot cut from waste backgrounds from previous backgrounds.
Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog. Tracy x x

Believe In Yourself

Today I am showcasing a card I created on my Hochanda Show on Friday 9th August and Saturday 10th August using my A5 Stamp "Hope" #200, combined with my background A6 Stamp "Background Mash-up" #210 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

You can re watch the shows on catch up if you missed them the first time around.
I was really pleased with how this card turned out, I love the colours and how all the layers are visible in the design, adding wonderful depth, drawing the viewer into the card.
I added a touch of background stamping using my "Background Mash-up" Stamp using tone on tone colours. and you can also see the touch of stencilling in the background too.
Vintage book pages add another element to the design, also adding further texture.
I also love the touches of grey stamping in the background.

Mixed Media Journal

Today I have a journal cover using my newly released Border Stamp "Postal Rose" #205, combined with my newly released A5 Stamp, Hope #200 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I created this journal on a Facebook Live and you can catch up on the video below if you missed it the first time around.

The video gives all the step by steps needed to create the finished piece, hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the process.

I decorated both sides of the journal adding lots of layers to give a tactile finish.
I also added some metal embellishments along with some tape and cheesecloth for added texture.
I love these flowers and adding a spotlight makes them pop from the background.
I also incorporated some mark making with an old credit card and white paint.
Vintage book pages add further to the texture and layered elements.
