Bloom and Grow

Wow I cannot believe we are already at the end of May, time is whizzing by. Welcome and thanks for joining me for another blog post for AALLandCreate. Today I am showcasing my new border stamp.
I adore my border stamp and love the wonderful detail which can be incorporated into so many designs whatever your taste.
These stamps are available from our stockists, a list of which you can find HERE.
I began by adding a layer of tangerine paint to my white card, applying the paint directly to the card with a piece of Cut 'n' Dry Foam. I then added a second layer of paint, in this case magenta. I love this mix of colours.
I dried the layers of paint with a heat tool thoroughly and then stamped my border stamp onto the background with black Archival Ink.
I then die cut a medium and small circle from the stamped background and at the same time die cut five extra circles for each piece and layered those all together so that I had two dimensional circles. I then applied black Archival Ink around the edges of each circle and then adhered each circle back into the die cut aperture aligning the image.
I love this technique, it adds so much dimension and interest to a detailed design. I also added some Dina Wakley Media Tape to the top, stamping my sentiment from the same stamp set on top of the Media Tape. I love how the detail is still visible below the Tape.
I also incorporated some stencilling using Kassa's stencil, applying white acrylic paint over the stencil.
I also added a Tim Holtz Story Stick for added interest.
AALLandCreate stamps are available through the Boutique.

Grow and Bloom

Hello everyone and welcome, today I  have a post showcasing my Quirky Blossoms stamp set from AALLandCreate.
I adore this colour palette, so fresh and uplifting. I used Dina Wakley's Heavy Body Acrylics, brayered layer by layer onto the background adding only a light touch with each layer.
The new release is available from our stockists which you can find using the link HERE.
Once I had added layers of turquoise, lime, magenta and tangerine to my background I then stamped my quirky Blossom onto the background with black Archival Ink. I then added a touch more turquoise paint around the edges of the focal image, applying with my finger and blending the paint around the blossom.
I added a touch of stencilling to my design using Autour de Mwa's stencil, applying Black Soot Distress Ink to the stencil, spritzing with water and then placing the stencil ink side down onto the background and dabbing the back of the stencil with a piece of kitchen towel to ensure good contactg with the card base. I then removed the stencil and dried the ink with a heat tool.
I added some hand stitching to add texture to my design and added sentiment inside the Bloossoms.
I also added some splatters of magenta paint to add a further layer of interest along with some circles of white paint added with a paint lid to give further interest.
I added doodled lines to the outside edges of each panel. I love how each layer is visible in this design.
I really enjoyed creating this accordion and I am really pleased with the outcome.
The AALLandCreate stamps are available from the Boutique.

Dream in Flowers

Welcome to another post for AALLandCreate showcasing my Natures Garden stamp set.

I loved decorating this Etcetera tag adding lots of layered texture. I began by applying a random coat of Texture Paste to my tag and I then stamped my A4 stamp into the Texture Paste, spritzing my stamp with water first before stamping into the paste. Please remember to clean your stamp immediately with this technique. Once the paste was completely dry, I then applied a coat of Antique Linen Distress Paint to the surface and then dried with a heat tool. I then applied a second layer of paint, this time Vintage Photo Distress Paint, dried a little and then wiped back the paint with a baby wipe.
My A4 stamp set is available from our stockists listed HERE.
I cut out a circle from a remnant of fabric and frayed the edges and then stamped part of my A4 stamp onto the fabric using Acorn Archival Ink. I also added some delicate splatters of black paint and a story stick for added interest.
I stamped my flowers from my Natures Garden stamp set onto the same fabric, cut them out and then added to the bottom of my tag. This picture also highlights the wonderful texture in the background.
The fabric itself also adds further texture to the design.
I also added further stencilling to the background, adding texture paste over Autour de Mwa's stencil. I also added a scrabble tile for added dimension.
A vintage dip pen gives further dimension to the design. I also included some doodling to the edges of my tag with a black pen.
I added some of Dina Wakley's Media Tape and sstamped the text Grow onto the tape using the wording from my Quirky Blossoms stamp set.
I love mixing the stamps sets and using them all together in one cohesive design.
This piece really does have to be seen in real life to really appreciate the texture in the background.
The AALLandCreate stamp sets can be purchased from the Boutique.

Let Your Dreams Blossom

Hi and welcome to another blog post using my stamp set #44 from AALLandCreate, which is available to purchase HERE.
I have reverted back to my love of all things vintage with this piece. I love using vintage tones in my artwork.
I began by adding low-tack tape around the edges of my kraft card and I then blended Dina Wakley White Acrylic Paint around the centre aperture, blending the paint with my finger. I then applied a layer of Turquoise Acrylic Paint around the edges, blending in towards the centre of the aperture, again blending with my fingers. I then added a light touch of Ocean Acrylic Paint with my finger, lightly around the very edges of the aperture. These layers add shading and definition to the design.
I then added a light dusting of 'A Bit Jaded' Infusions to the centre and spritzed lightly with water. This gives a little more detail to the design. I then removed the low-tack tape and then added some doodled lines around the edges of the aperture.
I then stamped my quirky flowers onto some book pages, cut out the flower heads and then added them to the same stamped image on my card, stapling the flower heads into place with my Tiny Attacher, giving yet a further little detail to my design.
I also added a touch more detail to the background using my border stamp, love this one and you can find it HERE. This background stamp is perfect for adding touches of detail to the background of a piece of work and the heart on the border stamp works beautifully as a focal image. I also added some delicate splatters of white paint for further interest along with an Index Clip and sentiment.

I designed the stamps so that they would all work together and I am so delighted with the outcome.

Happiness held is the seed, Happiness shared is the flower.

Hi and welcome, hope you have all been enjoying the wonderful weather we have been having the past week or so. I have spent a great deal of time in the garden this past two weeks and I thought it perfect to showcase my flowers from the previous release with AALLandCreate.
I loved creating this card, simple in design but I still feel has lots of detail to draw the eye in to the focal imagery.
I used this stamp from my previous release which is fantastic to use as stand alone focal images or using the imagery all together in a meadow type scene. So versatile. This stamp set is available HERE.
I used a piece of scrap paper to mask off the bottom area of my card and I then blended colour just on the edge of the paper edge to give me a line to ground the flowers. I used Dandelion Archival Ink this time around to add the grounding line and to stamp my flower imagery. I love this colour.
I wanted to add a touch of dimension so I included to die cut circles, again stamped with the flower imagery, samping one set of flowers with Monarch Orange Archival Ink. I also added Black Archival Ink around the edges of each circle to lift them from the backdrop, giving them some definition.
I adore this sentiment, I find a great deal of happiness in my garden and this sentiment was perfect for my flower garden. I also addede the 'flower' word to the top of my card for added interest.
A few delicate splatters of black paint complete my card.

Dream

Hi and welcome to a new week and today I have a blog post for you using my border stamp from AALLandCreate.
Today I have a card for you created using my border stamp, I adore the detail on this stamp.
This time around I just used the feather part of the stamp to create my card.
I created a background using Distress Oxide Inks Evergreen Bough and Fired Brick, applying the inks to my glass matt, spritzing with water and then mopping up the beads of ink with my card. I repeated this process several times until I was happy with the depth of colour, drying between each layer.
I used low tack tape to mask off the area of the stamp I did not want on this occasion and then inked the stamp with Black Archival Ink, removed the low tack tape and then stamped onto the inky background.
I added numbers using my Date It stamp and Vermillion Archival Ink and added some micro beads for added texture. I also included a vintage dip pen for added interest.
All the latest release are available from our stockists which you can find HERE.
I stitched the vintage dip pen into place and also added some random stencilling using Autour de Mwa's stancil and Fired Brick Distress Oxide Ink.
I also added some delicate splatters to the background using white paint along with some delicate splatters of Fired Brick Distress Paint. I also stamped the feathers a couple more times and added them for further dimension.

You can find all the stamps available in the AALLandCreate Boutique.
