Seasonal Tag

Time for my second creation showcasing the fabulous Teresa Collins CHRISTMAS COTTAGE clear stamp set from The Stamp Attic.
I've decorated a HUGE black tag this time around using images from Teresa Collins stamp set and Tim Holtz Seasons Silhouettes stamp set. To decorate my background I used a technique from Wendy Vecchi which you can find HERE, using Adirondack snow cap pigment ink pad and Distress Markers, I used aged mahogany. The snowflake image is from the Teresa Collins stamp set.
To add a little more interest to my background I have also stamped text from the background stamp in the Seasons Silhouettes set, inking with a gold Paint Dabber. I cut a tree shape from mountboard, applied VersaMark ink to the board and sprinkled with aged black Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel. I added two layers of enamel and then stamped into the hot enamel with the stamp "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" from Teresa Collins. I love the deep impression this gives along with the added texture and interest it gives to my piece. I highlighted the raised areas further with a little gold Paint Dabber. I also added a pot to my tree again cut from mountboard and decorated with enamel.
For a little more interest I have also included Christmas Muse Tokens. I have also added the music notes again stamped with gold Paint Dabber, this is another great stamp from Teresa Collins, and a perfect stamp for creating your own unique backgrounds.
Each word has been stamped with gold Paint Dabber, simply apply the dabber directly to the word, removing any excess ink from unwanted areas with your finger and stamp onto the tag. I did not place my stamp onto an acrylic block for this step, its easier to use the stamp without a block for this process and stamping is much simplified and easier to stamp into place.
I added a second tree to my tag and added faux stitching to the outside edges with a gold pen, a small touch but does give another added detail.
25 has been cut from mountboard using the Vintage Noel Bigz Die and coloured with gold Paint Dabber. The mountboard gives a little extra dimension to my tag.
The technique in the background gives a real chalky finish to my tag, I love it. So much texture, dimension and interest, it's amazing what you can do with a few stamps!
I wanted my tag to stand so I also cut a Small Easel using the Alterations Die again cut from mountboard for added stability. I also added a piece of grey board to the back of my tag painted with black Paint Dabber to give a professional finish. All the edges of my tag have been coloured with gold Paint Dabber.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x

It all looks so amazing against the black... and that technique of stamping into the enamel is just stunning. Loved it before - and now really tempted to delve into the world of Frantage to give it a go!! Sensational tag, Tracy! (And not Halloween... are you feeling okay?!?)
