Heart Accordion

Today I have another piece of art using my new release from AALLandCreate. I opted for a pop of colour to brighten the week. To view the whole collection and to see a list of our stockists please click HERE.
I created an accordion with lots of colour using Dina Wakley's Heavy Body Acrylic Paints. I began by applying a light layer of Turquoise paint, brayered over the white card and then added paint in light layers. My second layer was Lime then very subtle touches of Cheddar, Ocean and Fuchsia. The darker colours really lift the design.
I used one of the AALLandCreate Stencils by Bipasha to add circles to the background using Dina Wakley's White Heavy Body Acrylic, applying with a piece of Cut 'n' Dry Foam.
I added black stamping to the background using my border stamp, the black really pops against the colourful backdrop which I love.
I then stamped my heart stamp onto the background and then brayered paint onto a piece of scrap card and then stamped the hearts onto the painted scrap card, cut out the hearts and then added them to the stemps. I adore the pop of colour on the hearts.
I also added delicate splatters of paint for a further layer of interest.
I added sentiments from my hearts stamp and added black ink around the outside edges of each piece.
I decorated both the front and back of my accordion. To add further interest I also added some doodles with white pen.
I have listed below the stamps that I have used.
I have used this border stamp for my focal and background imagery.
I have used the sentiments from my heart set.

Deep In Their Roots All Flowers Keep The Light

Today I have another piece of art using my new release from AALLandCreate. Today I have another vintage make with my quirky flower stamps. To view the whole collection and to see a list of our stockists please click HERE.

If you would like to see my previous pieces using my stamps you can find them HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
  1. Paint the Etcetera tag with a coat of Gesso.
  2. Apply a random layer of Texture Paste, applying with a palette knife.
  3. Apply the Paste in a thin layer and dry very lightly and then spritz the flower stamp with water and then stamp the flower stamp into the Texture Paste and then allow the Paste to dry completely.
  4. Paint the tag with a layer of Antique Linen Distress Paint and then dry with a heat tool.
  5. Apply a light layer of Vintage Photo Distress Paint and then dry lightly with a heat tool and then wipe away the excess paint with a baby wipe.
  6. Add a light layer of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint, using a soft brush.

I love how the darker layers of paint lie in the crevices of the Texture Paste. I stamped my sentiment onto white card and distressed a little with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I love this sentiment.
I stamped my quirky flowers onto white card and then coloured with each one with pencils and then layered my flowers into the mdf jar. I also included some rusty spirals with rusty tin wire.
I added a heart to my mdf jar covering the heart with vintage book pages and then covering with layers of Seth Apter's Beeswax Baked Texture. I also stamped my flowers into the hot wax to add a little texture to the heart. I highlighted the flowers with Prima Metallique Wax. Cotton Threads add a touch more texture.
I love how my flowers look stamped into the Texture Paste. I highlighted them a little further with Distress Paint and Wax.
Stamping the flowers into Texture Paste really adds another texture to the background; this piece is so tactile.
I also included a heart embellishment which I received on a parcel recently.
I added a vintage doily behind my mdf jar, again for added texture.
A few delicate splatters of paint and a few scratchy lines with Distress Paint add further interest.
I used my little border stamp from the same flower set, stamped around the edges of my tag. I also added a few touches of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint to the edges.
I am really pleased with  how this one turned out!
Here is my stamp set that I used. I am hoping to do some simple cards next with this set, to show how versatile the images are.

Dragonfly Etcetera Tag

Today I have another piece of art using my new release from AALLandCreate. Today I have another vintage make with my dragonfly stamp. To view the whole collection and to see a list of our stockists please click HERE.

If you would like to see my first piece using my stamps, please click HERE. I also have another project I created which you can find HERE. My third piece created with my stamps you can find HERE. You can see a colourful make HERE using my stamps. I also have another vintage make HERE using my butterflies.
I am loving decorating these Etcetara Tags, the base is absolutely brilliant for adding so many layers.
  1. Paint the Etcetera Tags with a base coat of Gesso.
  2. Apply Texture Paste randomly over both tags, applying with a palette knife.
  3. Once the Paste is completely dry, paint with a coat of Cracked Pistachio Distress Paint and then dry with a heat tool.
  4. Apply a second layer of paint in this case Evergreen Bough Distress Paint, dry the layer of paint very lightly and then use a damp baby wipe to wipe away some of the colour, leaving some of the darker layer in the crevices of the Texture Paste. Dry with a heat tool. Repeat the same process for both tags.
  5. Apply VersaMark WaterMark Pad across the edges of the tag and then sprinke Seth Apter's Chunky Rust Baked Texture along the edges of the tag and then heat to melt the powder. For the smaller tag I applied Patina Oxide Baked Texture along the edges.

I added some background stamping to each of the tags using my border stamps, stamping with Black Archival Ink. I added three of the circular wooden pieces from Tim Holtz Idea-ology range down the centre of the smaller tag.
I stamped my dragonfly onto vintage book pages and also created a puddle of Seth Apter's Patina Oxide Baked Texture onto my Non-Stick Craft Sheet and then stamped my dragonly into the melted powder. Remember to add ink or VersaMark to your stamp to ensure that the stamp is released from the melted powder easier.
I added some cotton threads for added texture to my design and added the 'DRAGONFLY' sentiment to the background.
I love adding lots of layers to my pieces along with lots of texture and this was a fun piece to create. I also included some vintage rusty nails to the top and bottom of my tag for further texture.
A few delicate splatters of white paint lift the design further along with some scratchy white lines stamped in the background using my border stamp.
I added some rustic twine to the top of my tag. This piece is so tactile in real life!
Thanks so much to everyone for your wonderful words of support following my recent release.

These are the two stamp sets I used for today's sample.

Have a lovely weekend. Tracy x x

Butterfly Tag

Today I have another piece of art using my new release from AALLandCreate. Today I have another vintage make with my butterfly stamp. To view the whole collection and to see a list of our stockists please click HERE.

If you would like to see my first piece using my stamps, please click HERE. I also have another project I created which you can find HERE. My third piece created with my stamps you can find HERE. You can see a colourful make HERE using my stamps.
This is another version of my tag using Tim Holtz Etcetera tag, this one is slightly larger than the others. Once again I decorated the background in the same way, you can find step by steps using the links above.
I have used my background border stamp in the background of my tag.
I have used my butterfly for the focal images.
I had cut the butterflies from old vintage French book pages and decided to use the cut out pieces in my background, it seemed a shame to waste them. I added a butterfly stamped onto Parchment paper in the centre aperture.
I added some random machine stitching around the outside edges of the bookpages and I also added some random background stamping using my background stamp.
I love the delicacy of the buterfly stamped onto parchment paper. I also added a few delicate splatters of Distress Paint.
I am just loving Seth Apter's Beeswax Baked Texture. Once again I stamped into a puddle of Beeswax, it adds amaxing texture to a design.
I machine stitched through the body of this butterfly and left the cotton threads for added texture.
I drilled holes through my tag and added some rusty wire for further texture and interest. I also added touches of Distress Paint around the edges of my tag and randomly to my book pages.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Create Art In Colour

Today I have another piece of art using my new release from AALLandCreate. I thought today I would treat you to some colour, a little change from my vintage makes. To view the whole collection and to see a list of our stockists please click HERE.

If you would like to see my first piece using my stamps, please click HERE. I also have another project I created yesterday which you can find HERE. My third piece created with my stamps you can find HERE.
My background has been created using Kassa's stencil and I added lots of colour using Prima Watercolours the Tropicals collection.
I used my butterfly image from my stamp set #45 to add as a focal image.
There is also lots of texture to this design too with Texture Paste applied through Kassa's stencil and again coloured with Watercolours with a touch of shading with a Stabilo All pencil around the edges.
I added some random machine stitching around the focal image to add a little further texture.
I also machine stitched through the centre of the butterfly bodies and left the threads attached to add further texture to the design. I also included a Quote Chip for added dimension.
This picture shows my random stitching in a little more detail and I also added a few splatters of paint, lightly across the background.
The butterflies were coloured with Watercolours, I love the blend with these and the colours are so vibrant.
These colours are the perfect lift, just what is needed for a Monday!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
