Stay Curious

Today I am showcasing an accordion card I created during a Facebook Live, using my A6 Stamp "Curiosities" #209, combined with my A6 background stamp "Background Mash Up" #210 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I loved creating this accordion during a recent Facebook Live, you can find the video below.

I love how all the layers are visible on each piece.
I love the layer of Beeswax which adds a wonderful translucent texture.
The machine stitching adds a further texture along with the torn edges of watercolour paper.
The black reinforcers add another dimension to the card.
I love how the background stamping is clearly visible.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. Tracy x x

Love Hearts

I opted for an accordion card today using one of my favourite combination of colours, well my favourite for this month.
I love the comgination of the Cheddar, Fuchsia and Turquoise from Dina Wakley's range of acrylic paints. On this panel I created three different backgrounds, using three different techniques.

  1. Apply Cheddar and Fuchsia Acrylic Paint directly to the stencil, spritz the paint with water and then place the stencil, paint side down onto the white card, remove stencil and then dry the paint.
  2. For the middle panel I applied Fuchsia and Cheddar paint directly to my white card panel, applying with a Brayer and I then placed the stencil onto the painted backdrop and wiped over the stencil with a babywipe to remove some of the paint.
  3. For the third panel I applied my paint layers to a Gelli Plate, placed my stencil down onto the plate, pressed a piece of scrap paper onto the plate, removed the paper and the stencil and then placed my white card panel onto the Gelli Plate to lift the print.
I love how each layer adds so much interest to each panel. I applied Turquoise and touches of Cheddar Acrylic Paint to a piece of scrap white card and then stamped my heart stamp onto the coloured background. Cut out each heart and then ink my border stamp with Archival Ink and stamp the lines onto each of the hearts to add a further layer of interest.
I applied Black Soot Distress Ink to Autour de Mwa's stencil, spritz with water and then placed the stencil ink side down onto my background, dabbing the stencil with a piece of kitchen towel. Remove the stencil and this gives you a monoprint.
Delicate splatters of white paint have also been included along with some number brads for further dimension.
In this picture you can see clearly all the layers added to each of the hearts.
I also incorporated more lines using my border stamp, again stamping with Archival Ink.

The products used in my accordion are listed below:

You can find each of my stamp sets HERE and HERE and HERE, along with the stencil from HERE.

Heart Accordion

Welcome, today I have an accordion card for you. I have used my A6 Heart Stamp Set, combined with my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp from AALLandCreate, combined with Autour de Mwa's stencil. You can find a list of our stockists HERE.
I have opted for a dramatic Red, Black and Turquoise colour palette this time around, making a bold statement for my small accordion.
I layered the Dina Wakley Paints with a Brayer, using Ruby, Turquoise and Night. I also brayered some White to lighten the colours a little.
I have added some layered stamping using my A4 Layered Grunge stamp, I love using this stamp to add small details to a background.
I stamped this heart onto a piece of card which I had used to brayer off my excess paint, I then added some background stamping to the heart using my A4 Stamp. I also love the splatters of Turquoise paint which echo the Turqoise hearts.
I added a few scratchy lines using an old credit card and Night paint along with some scraps from the edges of a watercolour pad and I also incorporated some ChitChat Stickers.
The touches of white lift the design and I also incorporated some white scribble lines around the edges of each panel. The stencilled texture adds a further layer of interest.
This heart set is one of my favourites.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Below are the stamps and stencil I have used in this project.

Grow, Bloom and Blossom Accordion for AALLandCreate

Hi everyone and welcome. Today I have an accordion card for you using my Quirky Blossoms Stamp Set and my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp from AALLandCreate. You can find a list of our stockists HERE, simply scroll down.

I am loving using green at the moment, the colour is so fresh and gives such a different look to the stamps. I began by brayering a layer of Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint Distress Paints to the background of each panel and then dried each panel with a heat tool.
I added a touch of background stamping using my A4 Stamp, Layered Grunge. I stamped with Leaf Green Archival Ink, I love the tone on tone this gives and the numbers are so versatile on this stamp.
I stamped the Quirky Blossoms on the background of each panel using Black Archival Ink and then stamped the flower head once again to add dimension to my design. I stamped the flower heads onto a piece of card coloured with Distress Paints and stamped randomly with my A4 Stamp, this gives a touch more detail to the open areas of my flower head.
I twisted the flower head slightly so that the stamping below is still visible. I also added some Media Tape by Dina Wakley stamped with my sentiments from the same stamp set. I also added a button to the centre of each bloom for added interest.
I added more random background stamping using my A4 Stamp and Leaf Green Archival Ink, I love the detail in this stamp.
I had some edgeing from a watercolour pad on my desk so I also included these random pieces in my design.
I also added some delicate splatters of white paint to my design and added some wired leaves for added dimension.
I doodled some lines around each panel to draw the eye in towards my focal imagery.
I also included some stencilled panels on the back of my accordion using Autour de Mwa's stencil.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Bloom, Grow and Blossom Accordion

Time for my next post for AALLandCreate. Today I am showcasing my Quirky Blossoms and Date It Stamp sets in a mixed media accordion card. You can find a list of our stockists HERE, simply scroll down.
I have also used Autour de Mwa's stencil number #30 in the background to add yet a further layer to my design.
This is one of my favourite colour palettes at the moment and I really enjoy creating with these colours.
I love how the red really pops agains the background.
The Date It stamp adds further interest to the design and I also included some delicate splatters of paint.
I added dimension to each of my flowers and also included some cotton threads for added texture.
You will probably see lots more creations in this colour palette lol.

These are the stamp sets used in today's creation.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Grow and Bloom

Hello everyone and welcome, today I  have a post showcasing my Quirky Blossoms stamp set from AALLandCreate.
I adore this colour palette, so fresh and uplifting. I used Dina Wakley's Heavy Body Acrylics, brayered layer by layer onto the background adding only a light touch with each layer.
The new release is available from our stockists which you can find using the link HERE.
Once I had added layers of turquoise, lime, magenta and tangerine to my background I then stamped my quirky Blossom onto the background with black Archival Ink. I then added a touch more turquoise paint around the edges of the focal image, applying with my finger and blending the paint around the blossom.
I added a touch of stencilling to my design using Autour de Mwa's stencil, applying Black Soot Distress Ink to the stencil, spritzing with water and then placing the stencil ink side down onto the background and dabbing the back of the stencil with a piece of kitchen towel to ensure good contactg with the card base. I then removed the stencil and dried the ink with a heat tool.
I added some hand stitching to add texture to my design and added sentiment inside the Bloossoms.
I also added some splatters of magenta paint to add a further layer of interest along with some circles of white paint added with a paint lid to give further interest.
I added doodled lines to the outside edges of each panel. I love how each layer is visible in this design.
I really enjoyed creating this accordion and I am really pleased with the outcome.
The AALLandCreate stamps are available from the Boutique.
