Artsy Butterfly Card

Welcome, today I have a card using one of my favourite colour palettes, combining paints with my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp and my butterfly stamp set along with Olga's Patches Stamp Set all available from AALLandCreate stockists which you can find HERE.

 I love using these two colours together, turquoise and lime (Dina Wakley paints). I applied the paints to a Gelli Plate and then placed Autour de Mwa's stencil #30 onto the Plate, ensured good contact and then removed the stencil and placed a piece of white card and copier paper onto the Plate and took the print. I used both the copier paper piece and the white card prints for my background and they lined up beautifully and I was able to add dimension this way by adding black ink around the edges of the white card and lifting it a little from the copier paper print.

I added a wooden heart again which I stencilled some detail onto the background using the same stencil. I coloured the heart with the same paints and then applied Black Archival Ink over the stencil. My butterfly takes centre stage on the heart.

I added some random background stamping using my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp along with Olga's Patches Stamp Set.

I incorported one of Tim Holtz metal embellishments to the centre of my butterfly for added dimension and also added some delicate splatters of red paint. I also added some stamping to the butterfly wing, again using my A4 Stamp.

I included a couple of Tim Holtz Index Clip for a further element of interest.

I adore all the layers on this card and my trademark cotton threads add even further texture to the design.

Follow Your Dreams

Today I have an Etcetera Tag decorated using my A4 Layered Grunge Set combined with Olga's Patches Stamp Set from AALLandCreate. A list of our stockists can be found HERE.

I began by painting my tag with a coat of Gesso, drying with a Heat Tool and then applying a layer of Cheddar Acrylic Paint to my base. I dried this layer of paint with my Heat Tool.

I then cut out a heart from scrap paper and used the aperture and drew around the heart shape onto my tag. I added the hearts randomly to the background. I also added highlights of Fuchsia Paint to the background, applying with a Brayer, using only a light touch to apply the paint.

I painted around each of the hearts with Turquoise Paint and again dried with my Heat Tool. To highlight the hearts further I drew around each one with a Stabilo All Pencil and then blended with a touch of water.

I added some background stamping to the tag using my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp and also added highlights of colour to the background. Adding the paint to a piece of scrap card and doing a mono print to add just light layers of paint.

I added stamping to each of the hearts, using both my A4 stamp set and Olga's set.

I love all the layers of paint and stamping combined. I also included some delicate splatters of white paint.

Blossom Card for AALLandCreate

Blossom Card

Welcome to todays blog post. I have created a card today using my Quirky Blossoms stamp set from AALLandCreate. You can find a list of our stockists HERE, simply scroll down.

I opted for Kraft card today, I love the natural feel it gives to a design and here it showcases my Quirky Blossoms perfectly.

I added a layer to my background using Autour de Mwa's stencil number #30, applying Distress Oxide Ink directly to the stencil, spritzing with water and then placing the stencil ink side down onto my painted backdrop.

The Turquoise paint applied in the background around the edges was applied with my fingers. I also added dots of white paint using a small ball tool, dipping the tool into my paint and adding the dots around the outside edge.

I added a touch of dimension to my flower and also included some cotton threads for added texture. I also doodled some lines around the outside edge of my design.

I added some delicate splatters of white paint and some scratchy paint lines using an old credit card. I also included some touches of white to my flower using a white gel pen. I also included months using my Date It samp set, stamping onto white card with Vermillion Archival Ink.

These are my stamp sets used this time around.

Natures Garden

Wow the end of June, I can't quite believe where this year is going! Today I am showcasing my Natures Garden stamp set combined with my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp from AALLandCreate. You can find a list of stockists HERE, simply scroll down.

I began by brayering a layer of Dina Wakley's Fuchsia Paint across the background of my card and then added a layer of Cheddar, blending the two layers together where they meet. I then used Autour de Mwa's stencil to add further detail to the background.

I also added a touch of random stamping to the background using my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp.

I die cut three circles from white card and then coloured each one with Turquoise paint. I then stamped the Blooms onto each of the circles and then stamped them once again onto a piece of card coloured with the same paints used in the background. I then cut out each bloom and added them to the top of the first stamped image for added dimension.

I added delicate splatters of White, Fuchsia, and Cheddar Paint to the background along with more random background stamping.

I added cotton threads behind each die cut circle for added texture and interest.

I extended the stems on each bloom using a black pen.

I love how the circles draw the eye across the card.

Artsy Layered Card for AALLandCreate

Welcome to todays blog post, showcasing my A4 Stamp Layered Grunge, my Date it Stamp and my Border Stamp from the previous release. You can find all the stockists listed HERE. The previous release are also available from the Boutique.

This time around I brayered two colours of paint Dina Wakley's Cheddar and Fuchsia paints onto my white card and then used Autour de Mwa's stencil #30 to give extra detail to my background.

I added some background stamping using my border stamp below.

I love this border stamp, it has so much potential.

I used the hearts from the border stamp as my focal image, I love these hearts. I also love how the numbers are visible below my focal imagery.

I included my Date It Stamp, adding numbers and the months to my background.

I incorporated my A4 stamp, adding some random stamping to the background, I love using the numbers from this stamp.

This picture shows all the layers and how they work so well together. I also included some delicate splatters of white paint along with a few random pieces of edgeing from a watercolour pad.

I also decorated the background of my card using Autour de Mwa's stencil.
