This weeks post for Katzelkraft uses the Geometric Ornament, I love the detail on this stamp.
The background has been decorated with stencilled stars using Tim Holtz star layering stencil and Peeled Paint Distress Ink and I have also included Christmas wording using the Christmas layering stencil and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, I love these two colours together.
I then inked the Geometric Ornament with Fern Green and Potting Soil Archival Inks and stamped onto the bottom corner of the card. A Christmas Remnant Rub has been added to the opposite corner,
I die cut a couple of tiny tabs and tag, coloured with Distress Inks and added Remnant Rubs and stamping to each along with shading using Distress Inks.

Rustic Charm of Christmas
Welcome to today's weekly post for Artistic Outpost and once again I am showcasing the fabulous MidWinter stamp set.
This card is 5" x 7" and the background has had subtle stencilling added with Tim Holtz Star Layering Stencil using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I have also added the stars once again to the next layer this time applying Embossing Paste over the stencil for added texture.
The reindeer has been stamped with Potting Soil Archival Ink and I have added touches of white with a pen to add to the frosty feel along with touches of Picket Fence Distress Paint around the edges. I have also added a Chitchat sticker for added interest.
I have also added a tag cut from kraft card, added stencilled stars to the background and distressed the tag around the edges.
To complete I have added rustic twine, died seam binding and a rusty star coloured with touches of Picket Fence Distress Paint.

Green and White Christmas
This is the final card in my series of green and white again using the fabulous Christmas Tree from the KTZ61 Rois Mages stamp set.
This week I have created an A4 card applying stencilled stars to the background using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil and Fern Green Archival Ink.
I stamped the Christmas Tree three times adding to three panels using Fern Green Archival Ink and applying the same ink around the edges of each panel for definition.
For the middle panel on my card I poured hot Black Ultra Thick enamel onto my non-stick craft sheet and then heated with my heat tool to ensure the enamel was hot and completely melted.
I then inked the Christmas Tree stamp with VersaMark Ink to act as a release agent and then placed my Christmas Tree stamp into the hot Ultra Thick Enamel, allowed to cool slightly and then removed. Whilst the enamel is still warm I then cut around my design.
I then applied wax over my design to highlight all the wonderful detail. I then adhered this piece to the central panel on my card.
A touch of tone on tone background stamping adds further interest to my design.
I used a ShadowPress to add CHRISTMAS to the top of my design along with an added Chitchat sticker.

Enjoy The Beauty Of The Season
I am still continuing with my Christmas makes this week and today I am showcasing the fabulous MidWinter plate from Artistic Outpost.
I love using kraft card for my Christmas cards, I love the neutral rustic charm it gives to any design. The background of my card has been created using the background stamp from the MidWinter plate stamped with Potting Soil Archival Ink, adding highlights with a white pen for that snowy frosty feel.
I stamped the reindeer once with Potting Soil Archival Ink and then masked the image to stamp the same image two further times. Once again I also added highlights with a white pen and added a few delicate splatters with white paint. I also included Chitchat stickers for further interest, colouring with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to coordinate with my design.
I stamped the sentiment with Archival Ink and added shading with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I cut two snowflakes from white card, coloured with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then added touches of Picket Fence Distress Paint to add to the frosty feel. I also included a few of Tim Holtz mirrored star embellishments.

Rustic Christmas Card for Artistic Outpost
Welcome, today I have my Artistic Outpost weekly post showcasing the fabulous MIDWINTER stamp set.
I was inspired by Richele to use some dies that I had not used in a while the Cameo Frame die and the large Sized Oval Movers and Shapers die. I made an easel card for my base from brown card and then die cut the Cameo Frame from kraft card and applied Gathered Twigs Distress Ink around the edges to add to the rustic feel. I then applied embossing paste through Tim's stars stencil to add texture to my background.
I then die cut the oval from white card added a touch of shading with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then stamped the focal image from the Midwinter stamp set with Potting Soil Archival Ink, adding touches of stamped foliage around the edges. I die cut a poinsettia from kraft kard, spritzed the card with water and then crumpled the petals to give some texture and movement. I then added touches of Picket Fence Distress Paint to the edges of the petals and flicked some paint with a fine paintbrush. I added a pearl to the centre for added interest.
I added a few pieces of greenery to the card die cut from brown card using Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Die, adding touches of Picket Fence Distress Paint to the greenery to add to the snowy feel. I also included a rusty star and a couple of Chitchat Stickers. The base of the easel also has a strip of kraft card added with stencilled stars in the background.

I am continuing with a Christmas Card today for Katzelkraft using the fabulous Christmas Tree image from the KTZ61 Rois Mages stamp set.
I am continuing with my green and white theme this week following on from last week. Once dry I then applied Fern Green Archival Ink around the edges and then matted onto coordinated Core'dinations card.
The focal image has been stamped with Fern Green Archival Ink adding a touch of shading around the edges for definition and then matted onto coordinated card.

Compendium of Curiosities 3, Challenge 14
Morning, I thought I would take some time to join in with the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge, getting in just under the wire. The challenge this time around is Coloured Crackle, page 53 in Tim's Book. The Curiosity Crew have come up with fabulous ideas for this challenge to inspire you. There is a fabulous box of goodies on offer from Tim and Mario and there is a wonderful prize from Linda at The Funkie Junkie Boutique too.
The background of my card has been spritzed with Broken China Distress Spray Stain and I then applied embossing paste through Tim Holtz bubble stencil and then sprinkled Distress Dry Glitter over the top of the paste.
The three baubles have been cut from Grungepaper using the Retro Ornaments die and then I used Tim's Coloured Crackle technique on the top. I also added Remnant Rubs to each of the baubles for added interest.
I love the texture from the embossing paste combined with the glitter along with the texture from the Coloured Crackle.
I then die cut the Layered Snowflake from white card, embossed the snowflake using the coordinated embossing folder and then rubbed over the raised areas with a Broken China Distress pad. I also applied touches of glitter to the top of the snowflake and then added a snowflake embellishment, adding touches of Picket Fence Distress Paint to the top to add to the icy feel.
To complete I added a Winter flash card which I spritzed with Broken China Distress Marker again I added a snowflake embellishment for added interest.

Joyeux Noel
Today I have a Christmas Card for my Katzelkraft DT piece using the fabulous Christmas Tree from the KTZ61 Rois Mages stamp set.
To begin I die cut a tag from white card using Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplate Die, I then placed the Hollybough Layering Stencil over the tag and applied Fern Green Archival Ink over the stencil and I then applied Translucent Embossing Paste over the top to give a glossy finish. Once dry I then coloured the tag with more Fern Green Archival Ink and then adhered it agains a white backdrop.
I stamped the Christmas Tree onto white card with Fern Green Archival Ink and applied the same ink around the edges of the design for definition.
I die cut three small tags from white card and added Remnant Rubs to each and applied ink around the edges and added coordinated twine to each.
White seam binding has been added to the top of my card and I stamped the seam binding with a Christmas sentiment for added interest.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
I am using my favourite stamp set once again for Artistic Outpost, Snowy Woods. I love this plate and this year I am trying to get ahead with my Christmas makes so that I can enjoy December and the build up to the festivities.
I have embossed the background with a heart embossing folder using Core'dinations card and sanded back the design to reveal the core.
I cut a piece of Kraft card 4.5" x 6.5" and then applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink to Tim Holtz star layering stencil, spritzed with water and then placed onto the kraft card, removed and then dried with a heat tool. I also applied Potting Soil Archival Ink to the edges for definition. I then stamped the frame from the Christmas Chalk stamp set with Black Archival Ink and then added the sentiment and Reindeer images to the frame also from the same stamp set. I added a metal snowflake embellishment for added interest.
A touch of background stamping has been added to the background layer along with Remnant Rubs, Chitchat stickers and 'CHRISTMAS' sentiment using a shadowpress.
I cut out a heart from kraft card and then stamped the Father Christmas image with Potting Soil Archival ink, adding a touch of shading around the image and then tucked the heart behind my layers.

Eileen Hull Art With Heart Challenge - Favourite Recipes
I have some extremely exiting news to share with you today. Eileen Hull has a new release due out around December time this year and I had the
privilege of working with a couple of the dies, one of which I am showcasing
today.
The Eileen Hull Art With Heart Challenge for November is FAVOURITE RECIPES and so I thought today I would do an overview of one of my favourite recipes to use in my art and that is metal foil and paint. I also wanted to take this opportunity to go into more detail re how I created the Cannisters using the CANISTER DIE which has many fabulous opportunities to use in different ways. I am already thinking about creating a bird house from this die and maybe a house design in some shape or form.
The new range is so versatile and has so many posibilites and these dies are Scoreboard dies and cut mountboard beautifully.
The picture above shows the very talented Eileen Hull showcasing her wonderful release. I cannot wait to get my hands on these fabulous versatile dies. My fellow team members will also be showcasing more of the range over the next few weeks and have created some fabulous designs to inspire you along the way.
Here is a link so that you can view the full range enjoy!

- Die cut the Cannister using the Cannister Die and a die cutting machine.
- Emboss metal foil tape with the Tim Holtz Riveted Metal Texture Fade. Cut the metal foil tape into random pieces and then adhere to the cannister, burnishing each piece to ensure the metal is secured in place.
- Colour the metal with Distress Paints Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn, allow to dry for a couple of minutes and then rub away any excess paint with a piece of kitchen towel. The paint will remain in all the crevices and highlight all the wonderful detail and texture.
- Sand some areas of the metal with a piece of sandpaper to add to the industrial feel of the piece.
- Colour the labels with Distress Paint and add the lettering Coffee and Tea to each of the canisters, adding twine at the back of each label for added texture and interest.
- Colour wooden embellishments with Distress Paint and then add one to each of the cannisters for added interest.
- Colour a metal circular knob with Distress Paint and add one to the top of each cannister.
- Add a spoon to each of the cannisters.

Katzelkraft Challenge - Gesso
It's the first of the month which means it is time for our next challenge with Katzelkraft and this time around our challenge is to use Gesso.
I used Gesso in the background of my card applying it through Tim Holtz layering stencil, applying Gesso through the stencil with a piece of Cut 'n' Dry Foam. I also applied Gesso around the edges of my cards. I love the combination of the Gesso set against the kraft card.
I stamped the Christmas Tree from the Rois Mages KTZ61 stamp set onto white card with Potting Soil Archival Ink and then applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges. I then matted the stamped piece onto a piece of card again coloured with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I added further stars using the layering stencil and a touch of background stamping. I also used Tim Holtz on the edge die to add stars down one side which were coloured with Vintage Photo Distress Ink adding touches of background stamping to the background. I also spritzed the background and the stars with Biscotti Perfect Pearls to add a touch of shimmer.
To complete my design I applied Gesso through Tim Holtz Christmas stencil to add the CHRISTMAS wording to the bottom of my card. I also included a rusty star with added Remnant Rub for a further layer of interest.
