There are no Rules

I have a mixed media project today using another of my favourite stamps, Numbered Pencils #165 from AALLandCreate. This stamp set is available from our stockists which you can find listed HERE.
I really enjoyed the process of just creating with this piece and I was really thrilled with how all the layers came together.
I began by adding layers of vintage book pages to the background of my canvas and I then added touches of stamping using the Numbered Pencils stamp in the background.
I added some touches of stencilling detail in the background, applying Distress Crayon over the stencil and then smudging the colour with my finger.
I added a frame to give further dimension to my design and also incorporated a SnipArt frame in the background for further texture and interest.
I also incorporated a stamped pencil wrapped in natural twine along with a rusty nail.

Doodled Art

Sometimes I love to create artwork from those bits and pieces left on my desk following a creative spell and today I am showcasing my newly released Border Stamp, Numbered Pencils #165 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I had this background lying around on my desk, sometimes I have a few hours just creating backgrounds and this one was courtesy of Distress Oxide Inks Vintage Photo and Evergreen Bough.
I had several die cut circles lying around and opted to utilise those in this design, both acting as spotlights in the background. I added touches of colour with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
A scrap of hessian was also utilised in the background along with a broken pencil which I hand stitched to my card.
The central card piece I also scrunched to give crease lines which would be more visible once I added ink and really adds to the aged feel.
A few pen lines around the outside edges of my canvas along with a few scraps of vintage book pages complete the design.

Pencilled Cube

Today I am showcasing my Border Stamp Numbered Pencils #165 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I wanted to create something a little different this time around to showcase the wonderful imagery. I opted to use Eileen Hull's die to create a decorated cube or an ATB, Artist Trading Block as they were known by. This imagery really appeals to my love of vintage and the possibilites are endless and so easily combined with many of the other stamps in the AALLandCreate library.  I opted for more vintage tones this time around, creating a background with Distress Oxide Inks.
A touch of colour has been added to the background with the use of Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink. I have also incorporated lots of layers to this piece from vintage book pages to natural twine and broken pencil.
Die cut circles have also been used to act as spotlights.
I added my cube to a wooden stand and also included a story stick, the word 'story' seemed very appropriate for the imagery.
The words on this stamp set can also be used on their own, combined with many other stamp sets. I added a pencil to the top of my cube for added dimension and interest.
I really enjoyed creating this piece and hope you fall in love with the detail as much as I have. Tracy x x

Illustrate Your Life

Back to those vintage tones today, showcasing my newly released Border Stamp, Numbered Pencils #165 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
Distress Paints helped to create my vintage backdrop this time in the form of Vintage Photo, Antique Linen along with touches of Tumbled Glass. I love all the texture on this piece and it works so well with the pencil imagery.
This piece is all about the little touches and lots of layers. I stamped the imagery firstly directly onto the canvas and then began to add layers to the foreground.
I stamped the image onto vintage book pages and then tore out part of the image and added that to my background. I also incorporated some tea bag skins too.
On this picture you can see where I have added the tea bag skin which adds a wonderful vintage touch to the background. I have also incorporated a couple of paper clips.
I die cut a circle from white card and added some stamping which acts as a spotlight in my design. The story stick adds further dimension and the touches of natural twine add wonderful texture.
I applied further touches of Tumbled Glass Distress paint with my finger.
