WOYWW 25th August

Morning all, it's Wednesday, its WOYWW, time to nose around desks all over the world, the brainchild of our master Julia over at the Stamping Ground.  Click on the link and you will be automatically transported to Julia's place where you can find all the details and lots of wonderful desks.  I've decided there are not enough hours in the day to do everything I need and Wednesday's are definitely coming around too quickly.
A view of my desk today shows my art journal which I was decorating on Saturday night along with some challenge pieces and some new purchases.  My journal has remained on my desk as there are still a few bits I would like to add to my pages.
A close up shot of said journal pages, my theme being Steampunk.  Toward the left of the journal I have been playing with some flowers which I will hopefully use on a card at a later date.  I also have some die cut bird cages from a previous challenge which I'm hoping I will use on another project, seems a shame to throw them away.
Towards the left of my desk I have a steampunk book I made on a workshop on Saturday and that too also needs some work to the pages on the inside, another project for a later date.  This is why I need more hours in the day so that I can fit all the crafting in I need to do.  You will also see an ATC I won on the next shelf, a lovely gift from Hels Sheridan, I have never won anything before and so it has pride of place on my shelf.  Think that's everything on my desk this week but I thought I would brighten your day and show you a couple of plants in my garden that are looking particularly good this week.  My plants of the week are a Rudbeckia and a Lobelia.
Have a lovely Wednesday everyone, happy WOYWW and thank you for your kind comments.  Tracy x

I love the light shafting through your window highlighting those elegant cranes through to your tidy desk. Great Steampunk Journal and lovely flowers which inspire me to buy the purple one.. I presume that is the lobelia?

So tidy, I am so jealous! I try hard, but doing tidy is probably beyond me. Your steampunk journal looks amazing! The flowers look good too. Rudbeckia was one of my dad's favourite plants, they seemed to thrive in the sandy soil where he lived.
The Lobelia is a lovely shade of lilac, too.

Are those three herons on your window ledge? And what have you got in the unopened packages on the left?

Can't help being nosey.

Have a lovely day

Tracy, your journal looks fab, you are so very talented x
I notice that your timmy inks are naked and label-less.. if you hop over to the ranger's blog not so long ago there was a link for ready made labels for them.. just thought i'd mention it :)

Sorry for being a bit thick Tracy but what exactly is steam punk - everyone reading my comment - please don't laugh!!!! Only I'm allowed to laugh at my lack of stamping knowledge (I'm an Anna Griffin fan myself!!!).

Hope you get more time to finish off your journal...

BTW - loving the flower pics. they don't half cheer stuff up!!!

Oooh your journal looks fantastic! and I love those cranes on your window, they look beautiful.
Your flowers always look so gorgeous. Unfortunately plants and I do not get on... I seem to kill them as soon as look at them. I have just given up on my garden and had it cleared and covered with gravel. I will now try a few pots and see how I go with those!

Your garden photos show some lovely plants. My garden has dried and died for the most part, producing nothing this year. I like your shelves and of course want to see more. Thanks for your always tidy and organized views.

Journal coming along. Thanks for another peek and especially the Rudbeckia. I had so many when I lived in the midwest. They are so easy to grow and multiply rapidly. I really miss my wildflower gardens.

Hello Tracy, the first thing I spotted were those lovely cranes, how wonderful to sit and look at them!

Your desk is always so tidy, you always inspire me to go and tidy mine up, lol!

Beautiful Journal, cant wait to see the finished results and your plants are fabulous! My garden is looking quite sorry for itself this week, we have had so much rain, they have been swamped.

Thanks for sharing, take care Heidi xx
