SERIOUSLY - ANYTHING GOES!

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is a real simple one this week ANYTHING GOES.
I love an Anything Goes challenge, I love the freedom of just allowing creativity to take its own path! I decided to use Wendy Vecchi’s So Serious stamp, I love this gent and thought he worked perfectly combined with the Eye Chart Layering Stencil and the Writing Desk Die.  I can just imagine this gent sitting at his desk writing letters by candlelight and thought I would add drips of Beeswax to also represent my thought process.
I added a small pocket watch coloured with Ginger and Pitch Black Alcohol Inks and I added part of the handsome gents face to the clock, added Glossy Accents and then cracked to add to the aged feel, adding Ball Chain for added dimension.  I added a piece of Kaisercraft Basecoat paper to the back of my corrugated hanging and added a touch of colour with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to age. I also distressed the edges of the paper to add further to the aged feel. I applied Gathered Twigs Distress Ink through the Eye Chart Layering Stencil to add further interest to the backdrop.
I have die cut a tag using the Tag and Bookplate die and then added Gathered Twigs Distress Ink through the Eye Chart Layering Stencil, distressed the edges and coloured with Distress Ink and bent the tag here and there to add creases to enhance the aged feel. I stamped the handsome gent onto the tag and stamped him a second time to add dimension.
Three moustaches have been added to the hanging, coloured with Gathered Twigs Distress Inks, adding Black Soot to the edges of each for added definition. You can also see from this picture a few of the Beeswax drips that I have added.
I love the Beeswax drips, I will have to try this again for an altered bottle perhaps!
I used the Writing Desk die to add further to the masculine feel, coloured with Distress Inks and sanded to age. I have also added a Pen Nib for further interest along with a create metal label embellishment coloured with Alcohol Inks to tone with my piece.
For more great ideas please pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects. Remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp.  I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, much appreciated.  Enjoy your week. Tracy x x

Tracy, Tracy! Your projects always amaze me. The cool thing is that you continually think of these quirky ideas that make me smile and think you're a genius at the same time. For example, on this piece, I love how you flipped the mustaches upside down! Constantly clever...that is you!

Tracy...as always, you've created such a wonderful piece; full of texture, details and of course, beautifully done. I love the different stamps you've used on this. They work so perfectly with the mustaches, and other very cool die cut pieces. Love the corrugated background. What a perfect jumping off point for all of the wonderful layers you've added on top. The metal embellishments also really work! It has been such a huge honor and pleasure working with you on SSS design team. I am so thankful for this was the beginning of our very long friendship...one that will continue long after this day. :) Much love my friend. <3 Candy
