Play Date Cafe Challenge Take Two

I had a couple of hours to myself today away from the children and the housework so thought I would come up to my craft space and make another card for The Play Date Cafe Challenge
I have used Adirondack butterscotch and cranberry inks for this creation.
  1. Punch three scollop circles from scrap paper and use this as a stencil.
  2. Place stencil onto white card and hold into place or use masking tape.  Sponge cranberry ink through the stencil onto the white card.
  3. Keep the stencil in place, ink the flower stamp (Penny Black) with butterscotch first and then add highlights of cranberry.  Stamp an iris into each scollop circle.
  4. Sponge the edges of the white card with butterscotch ink.
  5. Matt the completed piece onto co-ordinated card to match this weeks colour challenge.
  6. Add ribbon to the bottom, adding a staple to each end.
  7. Using Tim Holtz Caged Bird die, cut out a bird from card and sponge the edges with cranberry ink.  Add a co-ordinated button for the eye and add to the card.
I like these colours so much I may have another go at a little something later, the cleaning can wait LOL.   Have a good evening everyone, Tracy x x

Lovely stamps, colours, techniques; I can see an ode to your garden in this. Cutest eye for the bird; nice the way you have turned him round...old square eyes!!! ( Mine always face west; yours is an east-facing bird, much better idea.)

What you said on my blog is right and I totally agree; I have been out there all day, in the garden....I have got artist's block... no ideas at all....just doing collages with scraps.

This is a gorgeous piece of work, Tracy. Yes, do some more please. I'll pop back later just to make sure you are keeping busy!!

This cards is too cute! and the colour combo works well with what you have chosen.

I think that's too many letters, to have to spell Crafty Dawn. I think I will just start with ART lol I can always add a couple of letters to make Craft thanx for stopping by

Gorgeous card, Tracy. I really love this one. Speaking of which, I was going through some old Craft Stampers last night, tearing out the page I want to keep before giving them away and suddenly realised that's where I knew your name from - duh! I hadn't connected the two before!! I was a great fan of your work then - still am, lol.
