This weeks DT creation for Katzelkraft uses the LOVE PLATE which I have used to create an anniversary card.
The background has been brayered with Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint Distress Paints. I then rubbed over the background with an anti-static back and stamped the hearts with VersaMark Ink and then sprinkled with white embossing powder and melted.
Delicate background stamping has been added using the COLLAGE DRAGONFLY stamp and Dusty Concord ink.
An Idea-ology Word Band has been added, colouring with a touch of Dusty Concord paint along with a Heart Charm.
I also added 'HEART' using label letters.

Joyeux Noel
Time for our monthly BLOG HOP with Artistic Oupost and this time around I am showcasing the SNOWY WOODS plate once again.
I die cut an oval from white card, brayered the card with Broken China and Fired Brick Distress Inks and then embossed the background with an embossing folder, highlighting the texture with wax.
The focal image has been stamped with Black Archival ink onto a brayered background and I have also added Joyeux Noel to the bottom of the oval. A mini tag has been added with repeat stamping of the sentiment.
I die cut a poinsettia from red card, bent to add movement and also added wax to the tips along with twine and died seam binding.
My fellow Design Team members have made some fabulous pieces to inspire you, please pop along and visit their blogs and be inspired along the way.

Compendium Of Curiosities 3 Challenge - Challenge 9 - Stamps and Framelits
I have taken some time out this afternoon to join in with the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge which this time around is Stamps and Framelits page 63 in the book. There is a fantastic prize on offer from the fabulous sponsor Inspiration Emporium and there is an array of wonderful projects from the Curiosity Crew.
I decided to decorate one of Tim Holtz burlap panels this time around, I just felt like something a little different from a card. I find challenges great for a starting point to inspire you on your creative journey. If you are ever stuck re where to start, join in a challenge it always gets my creative thoughts flowing! I began by adding tissue wrap to the background torn randomly and adhered in place. I then applied embossing paste through the Christmas Layering Stencil and then setting aside to dry. Once dry I then painted the background with Broken China Distress Paint and added a few paint splats with white paint.
I wanted my snowman to stand out against the burlap panel so I cut four layers which adds great dimension to the design and I love how he stands proud on the panel. For the last layer of the snowman I added Tissue Wrap to a piece of white card and then die cut the body, the text adds just a touch more interest to the design.
I used Tim's trimmings to give my snowman a scarf and added a rusty bell and a touch more dimension to his hat. I also included a large wooden snowflake which I painted with Distress Paint and then added a Christmas Muse Token to the top.
I added a few Christmastime Remnant Rubs to the background for a further layer of interest. Touches of colour has been added to the snowman using Distress Inks.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. Hope you find time to participate in the challenge it is great fun to just take some time out to be creative.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend! Tracy x

LOVE HEART
This week I am showcasing the lovely heart stamp from the LOVE plate from Katzelkraft.
The background of my card has been brayered with Peeled Paint Distress Ink along with touches of Dusty Concord, spritzing with water to blend the colours.
I stamped the heart in the background using Dusty Concord Distress Ink and I love how you can still see the background through the flower detail in the heart. Remnant Rubs add a further layer of interst along with Label Letters to add 'HEART' to add further detail to my design. I stamped the heart onto white card using Distress Ink and then cut out to add further dimension along with a key charm coloured with wax.
Letters have been added to the bottom of my card, coloured with Distress Paint.

StencilGirl/Graffiti Blog Hop
I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the StencilGirl / Graffiti week long blog hop and especially for the hop I have created a mini album using Eileen Hull's Mini Album ScoreBoards XL die along with the Perched Bird Stencil and the Three Crows Stencil combined with the gorgeous Barn Wood stamp from Eileen Hull.
I die cut the mini album from mountboard, these Scoreboard dies cut mountboard like a dream. I then took a lid from one of my Distress Paints and dipped it into Multi Medium Matt and added circles to the background and set aside to dry. Once dry I coloured the cover and the inside pages with Broken China and Worn Lipstick Distress Paints. I brayered each of the colours onto my pieces only using a light touch for the second colour so that both colours are visible when completed. I love how the circles resist the paint and add a further layer of interest to my design. I then die cut a circle from white card and again coloured with Distress Paints and then stamped the wonderful Barn Wood stamp onto the background of the circle using Weathered Wood Archival Ink. I also painted a paper feather and tucked that behind the circle for added interest along with a Botanical Remnant Rubs.
Next I placed the Three Crows stencil onto a piece of white card and applied Black Soot Distress Ink through the stencil, whilst the stencil was still in place I applied white paint to the Barn Wood stamp and stamped through the stencil, I love the texture this gives to the birds body. I also added a heart charm for further detail. I also included a few delicate paint splatter using white paint.
I also included pages to the inside of my mini album and added the Perched Bird to the inside, giving a tone on tone effect. The background was once again brayered with Distress Paints and I also added more circles using the lid from one of my Distress Paints and applied matching Distress Inks through the Perched Bird stencil. Keeping the stencil in place I also added some subtle background stamping to the bird using Potting Soil Archival Ink. Botanical Remnant Rubs and a further layer of interest. A bird house embellishments adds a touch of dimension.
I decorated a further page using the Three Crows Stencil, again applying Black Soot Distress Ink through the stencil and adding background stamping to the bird using white paint.
I have left the remainder of the pages blank so that the recipient of the book can decorate them.

Happy Christmas
I have been using one of my favourite Christmas stamp sets today, SNOWY WOODS from Artistic Outpost.
To create the background I die cut an oval from white card, placed the oval piece into the cenre of the card and then brayered over the oval with Broken China and touches of Fired Brick Distress Paint.
I stamped my focal image with Potting Soil Archival Ink and I also added a touch of shading to the oval using Broken China Distress Ink. I also included a banner stamped with Happy Christmas from the same plate.
25 has been added using Alpha Parts, colouring with a touch of wax to highlight. I also included some background stamping using the stamp from the GENERATION REDUX plate.
I also included a large poinsettia die cut from Clearly For Art Film which I coloured with Alcohol Inks. I also added a small tag stamped with 'DEC'.

Sing From The Soul
This week I have used the SONGBIRDS plate from Artistic Outpost.
I cannot remember the last time I used purple in any of my creations so today I thought I would challenge myself to use purple in some way. I spritzed white card with water and then brayered Dustry Concord Distress Paint over the card and then brayered Peeled Paint over the top, brayering only lightly so that the first layer is still visible. I also added a touch of background stamping using the background stamp from the GENERATION REDUX plate using Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Once I was happy with the background I then embossed the inked backdrop to add a further layer of interest.
I then applied some White Fire Wax over the embossed design to highlight the texture and detail further. I brayered a second piece of white card with Dusty Concord Distress Paint, dried with a heat tool and then stamped the ornate frame with Potting Soil Archival Ink, cut out the frame and then stamped the Songbirds to the centre of the frame and added to the centre of the card.
I added a banner to the card, stamping the sentiment with Potting Soil Archival Ink and colouring with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
I also included some seam binding which I died with Peeled Paint Distress Ink along with a dimensional flower and tiny tag with the word SONG stamped from the SERENITY plate.

Compendium Of Curiosities 3, Challenge 8 - Faded Layers
I am so pleased I have found time this week to join in the fabulous Compendium of Curiosities Challenge hosted by the lovely Linda and this time around we are showcasing the Faded Layers Technique, page 58 in the book. The Curiosity Crew have created some fabulous pieces of art to inspire you along the way. The Funkie Junkie Boutique is offering a generous prize of $25 to spend in Linda's wonderful store.
It's my Sister-in-Law's 50th birthday today so I thought I would celebrate and create something to commemorate those 50 years and combine that with the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge. I began with a background of corrugated card to add texture to my design, adding touches of white paint to the background.
I then began with the Faded Layers Technique using Sail Boat Blue and Mermaid Alcohol Inks. I added a dimensional flower to add a wow factor and dimension to the design. I added lace ribbon to card and then die cut the layers using the Tattered Floral Die and then adhered all the layers together, once dry I then spritzed the flower with Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions Ink Spray to coordinate with my background. I love the texture the lace ribbon adds to the flower. For further interest I also included a wooden bird to the centre of the flower. My Sister-in-Law, loves her garden, hence the flower and I love the word band I added, I think it says it all really! I have also included a few Remnant Rubs to the background for further interest.
I added pictures of my Sister-in-Law to each of the hearts and then poured clear UTEE into each encasing embellishments into each of them. I also added 50 using Tim Holtz Alpha Cards, colouring the edges with Forget-Me-Not Archival Ink. From this picture you can also see my faded heart layers in the corner, I love this technique as I love adding layers to my design.
Chitchat stickers add the perfect touches to coordinate with the vintage pictures I have added to my design and once again more heart faded layers in the backdrop.
I added a banner to a Memo Pin, adding white paint to the edges of the banner to lift it from the background. I have also included touches of background stamping using the background stamp from Tim Holtz Classics 9 Stamp set and white paint.
Fingers crossed my Sister-in-Law likes the card too lol.
Whilst I was playing around with the Faded Layers technique I thought I would also try it on an old bottle and it worked wonderfully. I also added a tissue flower spritzed with ink, along with coordinated twine and a key embellishment.
Hopefully from this picture you can see the faded heart layers to the background of the bottle.
I have also included Remnant Rubs along with a wooden heart and Chitchat Sticker.
A heart charm has also been added for a further layer of interest.
Thanks so much for popping by. Tracy x x

I created a background with Butterscotch and Juniper Alcohol Inks with a touch of blending solution added to the blending tool. I love the mottled background set against the white embossing on the Collage Anemone image.
I had scraps of ribbon on my desk to which I added stamping from the Collage Anemone stamp using Saffron Archival Ink and I then stapled the pieces of ribbon into place. I also included a metal flower embellishment again coloured with Alcohol Inks, along with a Chitchat sticker.
A further strip of stamped ribbon has been stapled into place along the top of my card along with two stamped banners.
