Grow and Bloom

Hello everyone and welcome, today I  have a post showcasing my Quirky Blossoms stamp set from AALLandCreate.
I adore this colour palette, so fresh and uplifting. I used Dina Wakley's Heavy Body Acrylics, brayered layer by layer onto the background adding only a light touch with each layer.
The new release is available from our stockists which you can find using the link HERE.
Once I had added layers of turquoise, lime, magenta and tangerine to my background I then stamped my quirky Blossom onto the background with black Archival Ink. I then added a touch more turquoise paint around the edges of the focal image, applying with my finger and blending the paint around the blossom.
I added a touch of stencilling to my design using Autour de Mwa's stencil, applying Black Soot Distress Ink to the stencil, spritzing with water and then placing the stencil ink side down onto the background and dabbing the back of the stencil with a piece of kitchen towel to ensure good contactg with the card base. I then removed the stencil and dried the ink with a heat tool.
I added some hand stitching to add texture to my design and added sentiment inside the Bloossoms.
I also added some splatters of magenta paint to add a further layer of interest along with some circles of white paint added with a paint lid to give further interest.
I added doodled lines to the outside edges of each panel. I love how each layer is visible in this design.
I really enjoyed creating this accordion and I am really pleased with the outcome.
The AALLandCreate stamps are available from the Boutique.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

I'm so loving your accordion cards Tracy, i'm using this style as an alternative to Birthday cards at the moment.
It's so good to see your brayered paint layers something that seems to have been over looked with the Buzz of the Gelli Plate of late.
You always create magnificent backgrounds and I have to agree that colour palette it so eye catching. I have yet to purchase this set fingers crossed for next month when I will hopefully get some *Me Time*..
Thank you as always for the inspiration.
Hugs Tracey xx

Love your Quirky Blossoms too (just saw Corrie playing with them on a lovely book tag) - and the beautiful colours and brayered textures here let the flowers speak for themselves.
