Natures Garden

Hi and welcome to my weekly post for AALLandCreate.
This week I am showcasing my flowers from my Natures Garden Set which you can purchase from our stockist using the link HERE. All our other releases can be found in the AALLandCreate Boutique.

I began by creating my accordion cutting a piece of white 350gsm card stock 4 inches in width and 9" in length scoring at 3" and 6" to create the accordion.
To create the background I used Dina Wakley's Acrylic Paints beginning with a first layer of Olive, which I brayered lightly over the background. I then added light touches of Sedona and Peacock to give a couple more layers of interest and depth to my design.
I used Autour de Mwa' s stencil, number #21 to add detail in the background. I applied Black Soot Distress Paint to the stencil, applying the ink directly from the inkpad; simply swipe the inkpad across the stencil, avoiding the edges of the stencil. Spritz the ink with water and then place the stencil, ink side down onto the background and dab the back of the stencil with a piece of kitchen towel. Remove the stencil and this gives you a lovely print.
I stamped my blooms onto the background of the card with Black Archival Ink and then stamped the image a second time onto a piece of scrap white card. I coloured one of the flower heads with Sedona Acrylic Paint to pick up the touches I used in the background, cut out the flower head and then added to my stamped image to add further dimension.
I added the sentiments from the set to the accordion and added some doodling around the edges of the accordion pieces to draw the eye in towards the focal image.
I then added a touch more stamping using the background stamp from the Natures Garden set, stamping with Sedona Paint. I then added all the accordion pieces to the accordion card.
I also did a Facebook Live showcasing this card and how to make it from start to finish. You can find that video HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hi Tracey - I can't tell you how much I appreciate you doing these samples and the live showing us how you do them. I quite often buy stuff or want to buy stuff, but then don't know what to do with them, so I love you helping with that. I saw your Facebook live, so helpful. And great stamps. Greetings from Australia!
