A Royal Appointment

A warm welcome to another Monday and another fabulous challenge with Simon Says Stamp and Show. This week we would like to see KINGS AND/OR QUEENS in your creations.

As soon as I saw our theme this week I knew I wanted to use the It's Face Art and Art Fit For A Queen sets by Wendy Vecchi to create my QUEEN theme along with a Large Flourish Frame. A torn paper background and a little colouring from Distress Inks broken china and wild honey bring this piece to life.
Once I had covered the background of my frame with vintage torn paper I then stamped the leaf vine from It's Face Art onto the torn paper with VersaMark ink and sprinkled with clear embossing powder. I sponged over the vine with wild honey ink which resists the embossed areas and creates a fabulous background.  I used the same stamp again, this time inked with coffee Archival Ink and stamped randomly accross the frame, this gives another layer of interest to my piece.  For dimension I decorated Queens and Crowns Art Parts, adding the co-ordinated images to the top and colouring with Distress Inks. I then added a flower to the top corner of my frame to give some balance to the piece using the floral from Wendy's Art Fit For A Queen.
DREAM has been added to jump rings, adhered with Glossy Accents. I found two lovely brass crowns in my stash and added those to my royal frame (there is also a fabulous one HERE) along with the fabulous sentiment - The Crown from Wendy Vecchi, perfect for this piece.

Please pop over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects and remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp.  I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, much appreciated.  Enjoy your week. Tracy x x
