Trust Your Wings

Today I am absolutely thrilled to have a second piece of art with my next new release from AALLandCreate. To view the whole collection and to see a list of our stockists please click HERE. If you would like to see my first piece using these stamps, please click HERE.
Today I have gone for a more subtle colour paletter and more natural feel to my project.
  1. Apply a coat of Gesso to the Etcetera Tag.
  2. Dry the Gesso with a heat tool and then apply a coat of Antique Linen Distress Paint and then dry this layer of paint with a heat tool.
  3. Apply an uneven coat of Texture Paste using a palette knife and allow the Paste to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
  4. Apply a thin layer of Vintage Photo Distress Paint and then dry the paint lightly with a heat tool. Take a damp baby wipe and wipe away any excess paint.
  5. Dry brush Tumbled Glass Distress Paint over the top. and use a finger to apply some of the paint around the edges of the tag and then dry with a heat tool.
These are my set of stamps and I am absolutely delighted with the quality and they stamp beautifully.
I applied Texture Paste over Kassa's stencil and allowed to dry before I applied my paint layers. I adore the texture this gives to the background.
I stamped my butterflies onto vintage French bookpages and added lots of layers and then machine stitched through the centre of each of the butterflies.
I added some delicate touches of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint to each of the wings and added some gems to the body of the butterflies and the centre butterfly has a vintage pen nib added for the body.
I left some of the threads from the cotton visible so that they added to the textural feel of the whole project. I also added some gold beads for added interest.
I added 'Trust Your Wings sentiment to the bottom of my tag, adding it twice to two strips of card and adding touches of colour with Tumbled Glass Distress Paint.
I used my border stamps around the edges for added interest and added some delicate splatters of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint along with some natural twine to the top of the tag.
Here is my border stamp, these are a fantastic size and wonderful to use in the background or as a focal image.
Hope you enjoyed your visit as much as I enjoyed creating this piece. Thank you for all your wonderful comments on my new release, I appreciate them all.

I also have a little video for you which showcases all the stamp range in more detail, I have added this below for you.

Fabulous! Tracy Love the contrast of those delicate paper layered butterflies against the heavy textured background. Those colour ways work so lovely together.
