Deep In Their Roots All Flowers Keep The Light

Today I have another piece of art using my new release from AALLandCreate. Today I have another vintage make with my quirky flower stamps. To view the whole collection and to see a list of our stockists please click HERE.

If you would like to see my previous pieces using my stamps you can find them HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
  1. Paint the Etcetera tag with a coat of Gesso.
  2. Apply a random layer of Texture Paste, applying with a palette knife.
  3. Apply the Paste in a thin layer and dry very lightly and then spritz the flower stamp with water and then stamp the flower stamp into the Texture Paste and then allow the Paste to dry completely.
  4. Paint the tag with a layer of Antique Linen Distress Paint and then dry with a heat tool.
  5. Apply a light layer of Vintage Photo Distress Paint and then dry lightly with a heat tool and then wipe away the excess paint with a baby wipe.
  6. Add a light layer of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint, using a soft brush.

I love how the darker layers of paint lie in the crevices of the Texture Paste. I stamped my sentiment onto white card and distressed a little with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I love this sentiment.
I stamped my quirky flowers onto white card and then coloured with each one with pencils and then layered my flowers into the mdf jar. I also included some rusty spirals with rusty tin wire.
I added a heart to my mdf jar covering the heart with vintage book pages and then covering with layers of Seth Apter's Beeswax Baked Texture. I also stamped my flowers into the hot wax to add a little texture to the heart. I highlighted the flowers with Prima Metallique Wax. Cotton Threads add a touch more texture.
I love how my flowers look stamped into the Texture Paste. I highlighted them a little further with Distress Paint and Wax.
Stamping the flowers into Texture Paste really adds another texture to the background; this piece is so tactile.
I also included a heart embellishment which I received on a parcel recently.
I added a vintage doily behind my mdf jar, again for added texture.
A few delicate splatters of paint and a few scratchy lines with Distress Paint add further interest.
I used my little border stamp from the same flower set, stamped around the edges of my tag. I also added a few touches of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint to the edges.
I am really pleased with  how this one turned out!
Here is my stamp set that I used. I am hoping to do some simple cards next with this set, to show how versatile the images are.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Tracy x x

Ooooh Tracy, I love how you stamped and coloured the flower heads for the jar, it looks a-maz-ing and stamping the flower head into the heart gives it some wonderful dimension. Another triumph I think! Hugs, Anne xx
