May Your Days Be Merry & Bright

Hi and welcome. Today I have decorated a Tim Holtz Etcetera tag, another seasonal make.
  1. Apply a coat of Gesso to the Etcetera tag, covering both front and back with one coat.
  2. Apply a coat of Antique Linen Distress Paint and then whilst the paint is still wet apply a light layer of Brushed Corduroy Distress Paint randomly to the tag, this adds delicate darker layers to the background.
  3. Place the Stars Layering Stencil onto the background of the tag and then apply Texture Paste over the stencil.
  4. Once the Paste is completely dry apply IndigoBlu Flitter Glue to some of the raised areas of the stars and allow the glue to dry clear and tacky and then apply MegaFlakes to the top of the stars. Repeat the same process to apply MegaFlakes to the edges of the tag.
The MegaFlakes add a touch of opulence to the design and add a lovely metallic touch.
  1. Die cut five layers of the Stitched Ovals from white card.
  2. Colour each die cut piece with Vintatge Photo Distress Oxide Ink.  Adding Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink to the edges of the top oval for added dimension.
  3. Adhere all the die cut ovals together to create a dimensional frame.
  1. Die cut the reindeer from white card and then colour with Distress Oxide Inks. Apply a layer of Prima Metallique Wax White Gold around the edges of the die cut frame and around the edges of the reindeer.
  2. Add a small piece of cheesecloth for added texture along with some Bouquet Flowers, applying Distress Ink around the edges of each of the petals to coordinate with the background of the tag.
  1. Ink the Bauble from Tim Holtz Cling Cling Foam Stamp Set with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and stamp the Bauble onto the edge of the tag, repeat this a couple of times, stamping with the same ink and using the Stamping Platform. Repeat the same process for the second bauble.
  2. Add the tops to the Baubles using Black Archival Ink.
  3. Add touches of MegaFlakes to each of the Baubles and add scribble a black border around each of the Baubles for definition.
  1. Add delicate splatters of gold paint to the background and then dry with a heat tool.
  2. Add three coils of rusty wire for added texture and interest.
  3. Add Clippings Stickers to the inside of the oval frame and to the top of the tag.
  1. Add Star Adornments to the background of the tag to give further interest and dimension to the design.
  2. Scribble Vintage Photo Distress Crayon around the edges of the tag and then smudge with a finger.
  1. To complete the tag add a small Decorative Deer to the inside of the oval frame.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a lovely week.

'Tis The Season

Hi and welcome. Today I have a seasonal card. I am in the midst of lots of deadlines but I have taken a few hours break to make a few more seasonal cards.
I created a textural card using a bauble stencil along with texture paste. I applied the texture paste randomly to give more texture to the design.
I then sprinkled some Infusions 'A Bit Jaded' onto my card and then spritzed with water. I am using a 300gsm card so this can take all the medium that I am applying.
I also added a touch of the Infusions to the inside of my card just to add a little more detail to my design.
I love the touches of walnut in the Infusions, it adds to the vintage feel of the card.
I added some Distress Crayon Salty Ocean around the outside of my bauble and smudged with a finger. I also included a ChitChat Sticker and an Adornment Star embellishment. I added a few scribbly lines around the outside of my card for a touch more detail.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

AALLandCreate New Release

Welcome to the second of my posts showcasing the fabulous new release from AALLandCreate. If you would like to see my previous card you can see it HERE.

This time around I decorated a Tim Holtz Etcetera tag. The focal image is created using Bipasha's stencil which you can find HERE.
I painted the background of my tag with a coat of Gesso and then dried this first layer with a heat tool. I then applied a coat of Antique Linen Distress Paint over the top and whilst that layer was still wet I then applied light strokes of Frayed Burlap Distress Paint over the top.
I absolutely love the texture from the Texture Paste applied over the stencil's . This texture is created using Autour de Mwa's stencil which you can find HERE. I applied Distress Crayon over the textural areas and blended with my finger and a lightly damp baby wipe.
I added some delicate splatters of black paint and added some black reinforcers for added interest and texture.
I added some Tim Holtz Tissue Tape behind my focal image along with an Arrow Adornment embellishment.
A Quote Chip adds further interest along with two Index Clips.
I die cut a cover from mountboard using Eileen Hull's Passport Die to add further dimension to my design. I then added part of the compas stencilled design to the die cut piece, allowed the Paste to dry completely and I then added IndigoBlu Mega Flakes to the top to add a metallic touch to the design. I also included a Tim Holtz Paperdoll and also included some scratchy lines using an old credit card.
All of the AALLandCreate products can be found HERE in the Boutique.

We would love to see any of your creations you create with our products. Please pop a picture and link to your projects on our AALLandCreate Fanatics Facebook Page.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have a lovely weekend.

Eileen Hull Sizzix Book Club Release

Hi and welcome to another weekly showcase of Eileen Hull's soon to be released Sizzix Book Club dies.
This week I am showcasing the fabulous Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die Book and Pages, Trinket Box and Frame

This die has so many possibilites. It can be a shadow box as I have used it here or you could use the oval die within this as a frame on its own or as an aperture on a card. This could also be a book. The possibilities are endless and I am going to enjoy exploring more with this one!
These are the die cut pieces and as you can see you could use them as they are as stand alone projects or together as I have done. I will have to create a book from this next and that box element is just shouting shadow box and scenes.
I painted my die cut pieces with DecoArt Media Raw Umber Fluid Acrylic and dried the paint with a heat tool.
I added touches of vaseline randomly around my die cut pieces.
I then painted a top layer of DecoArt Media Crackle Paint.
The crackle is fantastic and you can see clearly where I have applied the Vaseline as the paint does not stick to those areas and is easily rubbed away.
I used a piece of kitchen towel and lightly rubbed away the areas where I had applied Vaseline. The Vaseline resists the paint and this gives me that perfect aged, chipped feel to my project.
I love the aged feel this gives to my piece.
I then added a coat of DecoArt Media Matte Medium to protect the surface.
I used the same techniques for the shadow box which I added to the inside.
I also added a wooden heart to give me dimension and a applied a wash of Pyrrole Red to the top just to add a pop of colour.
I added some cotton threads and cheesecloth to add further texture to my piece.
I also included a salvaged doll along with Remnant Rubs and Stickers from Tim Holtz. Rusty wire also gives another texture to the design.
I added 'MOMENTS' to the top die cut from white card using Eileen's Thinlits Die Floral Arch and Words. The flowers have been painted with Pyrrole Red Paint and I have added a pearl to the centre. The flowers are from Eileen's Thinlits Die Stitchy Flowers and Leaf.
I have also added a Hitch Fastener as my handle for the shadow box/frame.
I can see this is going to be one of my dies to use. Watch this space!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

I also added a touch of stamping to the inside of my card.
I also included some circle reinforcers to the background to echo the circles in the foreground.
I love these sentiments, the font is fantastic, these are from my set number 15, available HERE.
I added the focal image, the eye, to two die cut circles. I love the detail in this eye. This is from Bipasha's set number 23, available HERE. I added some cotton fibre behind for added texture.

Eileen Hull Sizzix Book Club Release

Hi and welcome to my second post of the month showcasing Eileen Hull's Book Club release.
This week I am showcasing the Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die Card Box, Planner Storage and Organiser.
I began by die cutting and assembling the pieces I needed.
I brayered the storage piece with Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylics in Lime and Turquoise.
I then die cut flowers from the coordinating pieces to fit on top of the storage piece using Eileen Hull's Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Thinlits Die. I cut these pieces from 300gsm card.
I then brayered over the top of the die cut pieces with Pyrrole Red DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Paint. I love how this highlights the embossed areas from the die cutting process.
I then added these die cut pieces on top of the storage piece.
I brayered a second piece with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Pyrrole Red and then die cut more flowers from the painted panel.
I used these flowers to create two dimensional flowers.
This is the reverse side of the storage. I die cut more flowers and added them back into the aperture die cut areas to give further interest and pops of colour. I also added background stamping to a couple of the flowers. 'Moments' is die cut from white card using Eileen Hull's Thinlits Die Floral Arch and Words.
I also created some cards to coordinate to create a gift. I added my flowers to the front of the storage piece and also added friend, again cut using Eileen's Floral Arch and Words Die.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back next week showcasing further pieces from this fantastic new release.
