Mixed Media Journal

Today I have a journal cover using my newly released Border Stamp "Postal Rose" #205, combined with my newly released A5 Stamp, Hope #200 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I created this journal on a Facebook Live and you can catch up on the video below if you missed it the first time around.

The video gives all the step by steps needed to create the finished piece, hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the process.

I decorated both sides of the journal adding lots of layers to give a tactile finish.
I also added some metal embellishments along with some tape and cheesecloth for added texture.
I love these flowers and adding a spotlight makes them pop from the background.
I also incorporated some mark making with an old credit card and white paint.
Vintage book pages add further to the texture and layered elements.

Be Awesome

Today I have a card using my newly released Border Stamp "Postal Rose" #205, combined with my newly released A6 Stamp, Hexagonal Tiles #208 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I created this project during a recent Facebook Live, which you can catch below, if you missed it the first time around.

The video goes through the step by steps from start to finish, I hope you find this useful.

I love the dimension on the rose, it is so tactile and adds so much to the project.
The touch of stencilling adds just a little more texture to my design and I adore the sentiments on this border set.
A little close up of the dimensional flower and further texture added with cheesecloth.

Seize The Day

Today I have a card using my newly released Border Stamp, Hexagonal Stem #206 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I adore this stamp, the background could be used on its own or together with the stamp and the flower could also be used on its own. This time around I opted for a clean fresh colour palette.
I applied a coupleof greens to my background using Distress Oxide Inks and then added a fine layer of Gesso using my palette knife. I then stamped my focal image onto the Gesso backdrop. The Gesso adds fabulous texture.
I also incorporated some skeleton leaves and random stitching for further texture to my design.
A few delicate splatters of white paint give the backdrop a further layer of interest.
I coloured my flower with pencils, adding three layersof colour.

Create Your Own Magic

Today I have a card using my newly released A5 Stamp "Eclectic Stems" #199, combined with my newly released A6 Stamp, Background Mash Up #210 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love the combination of Turquoise and Black for this card and using opaque paints allowed me to add layer upon layer to give wonderful depth to my design.
I love this flower and as a bonus it works beautifully with my A6 Stamp Set Doodled Blooms and when both small and large flowers are layerd together they make a fabulous dimensional statement piece.
I also added some delicate background stamping to my background using my Background Mash Up stamp, stamping with White and Turquoise Paint.
The circles are quite textural; I applied paint with my finger over the Lotza Dotz Stencil along with a few delicate splatters of paint.
I also incorporated one of my favourite sentiments, along with some cotton threads for added texture.

I was absolutely thrilled with the way this card turned out and I love how all the layers are visible.
I will not go into too many details as the video step by step explains everything from start to finish for this card.

Make A Difference

Today I have a card using my newly released Border Stamp, Hexagonal Stem #206, combined with my newly released A6 Stamps, Background Mash Up #210 and Hexagonal Tiles #208 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love these three stamps combined together and the dramatic black Oxide backdrop really makes the other colours pop.
I used clear embossing powders on my hexagonal stems and then blended Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink over the top. Once I was happy with the depth of colour I then used a damp piece of paper towel to remove the black from the embossed areas. I then heated the powder a little more, so overheating it so that the embossing then had a matt look on some of the areas and I then applied touches of more of the Black Soot ink which will now stick to the design.
I also incorporated some vintage book pages and some delicate background stamping using my Background Mash Up stamp.

Laugh, Love, Smile

Today I have a card using my newly released A6 Stamps, Flourishing Vase #213, Background Mash Up #210 and Hexagonal Tiles #208 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I am really enjoying using lots of colours in my cards and this one really lifts the spirits. I created a spotlight with Dina Wakley Paints and I then placed the Lotza Dotz Stencil #59 onto the painted backdrop and removed some of the paint from the open areas.
I also added a touch more shading to my circle with Distress Crayons. I love using my background stamp to add touches of more stamping to my backgrounds and I opted for a tone on tone effect.
I cut out a hexagon from the top of my circle and added one of my hexagonal tiles behind the aperture and I also created a quirky pot for my flowers, again using the hexagonal tiles.
I used my half flower from the Flourishing Vase and created a whole flower using the same stamp; this stamp offers wonderful versatility.
I added a hinge clip for added dimension and interest.
