BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Time for this weeks DT creation for Artistic Outpost and this week I am showcasing the fabulous BIRDS OF A FEATHER plate.
I created the background with Antique Bronze Distress Stain and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, applying the inks to a non-stick craft sheet, spritzing with water and then mopping up the beads of ink with the tag, heat setting and repeating the process until I was happy with the depth of colour.
I also added some background stamping to the tag using the background stamp from the Birds Of A Feather plate and Potting Soil Archival Ink.
A doily has been added to the backdrop and I have then added a circle of card coloured with Distress Stain and Distress Inks, stamping the bird with Potting Soil Archival Ink and adding touches of background stamping.
'Birds of a feather' has been added to a banner and I have included twine for added texture and a brass flower charm for added dimension.
Further dimension has been added with three dimensional blooms, applying Treasure Gold White Fire to the edges of each petal.

Hope you all have a lovely day. It is my birthday today and I am being treated to a meal out with friends along with some time out to spend my birthday money; what better way to spend the day!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x
