Flower Stems

Today I am showcasing a card I created as one of my demo pieces from a few shows I have attended around the country, using my A5 Stamp "Hope" #200, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
My Gel Press is getting a lot of use just lately and I have to say I am really enjoying the process of just creating backgrounds and I am loving some of the results.

This background was created with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paints in Sour Grapes, Lake Winaka and Sugar Plum and I have to say I adore these colours together.
I love the fact that the Fresco Finish Paints dry a little quicker on the Gel Press so give me some white open areas in my design which I find really pleasing to the eye.
Torn Parchment has been included to house my sentiment and to add a touch more texture. I have also added a touch of stamping to the bottom of my card using the little daisy stamp from my other A5 Stamp Set "Eclectic Stems" #199.
I applied the Fresco Finish Paints to my Gel press then went back and added touches of the Lake Winaka to the Gel Press and lightly touched my card onto the Gel Press to achieve just a light touch of the colour.
I also used the Lotza Dotz stencil to give a further layer of interest in my background. Laying the stencil onto the painted backdrop on my Gel Press.

Create Your Own Magic

Today I am showcasing a card I created as one of my demo pieces from a few shows I have attended around the country, using my A5 Stamp "Eclectic Stems" #199, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I am really pleased with the way this one turned out.  I applied Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Broken China Distress Oxides to my 5" x 7" Gel Press and added a few drops of Infusions into the mix to give me a fabulous backdrop.
I added a spotlight for my focal image and also included some doodling and I echoed this doodling around the outside edges of my card.
My flower has been stamped onto a background blended with Distress Oxide Inks, stamped and then cut out.
I added a touch of delicate background stamping using my well loved background stamp "Background Mashup" #210.

Wishing You Happy Everything

Today I am showcasing a card I created as one of my demo pieces from a few shows I have attended around the country, using my A5 Stamp "Eclectic Stems" #199, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I created my backdrop with Distress Oxides Broken China, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet. I love the blend of colours. I then spritzed the Lotza Dotz stencil with water and then placed the stencil water side down onto the ink. I allowed the ink to sit for a few moments and then removed the stencil.
I added a spotlight for my focal image and incorporated some doodly lines for added interest and to draw the eye into the focal image.
I also doodled a few lines around the outside edge of my card with a white gel pen which also helps to draw the eye into the focal image.
I bent the flower a little to give shape and movement and also incorporated some vintage book pages. Further dimension has been added with a decorative bead to the centre of the flower.

Hexagonal Stem

Today I am showcasing a card I created as one of my demo pieces from a few shows I have attended around the country, using my Border Stamp "Hexagonal Stem" #206, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I created a marbled background with shaving foam and I have to say I am thrilled with the colourway and blend of colours.
I added a few delicate touches of background stamping using my A6 Stamp "Background Mashup" #210, which adds a delicate touch of detail to my background without detracting from the focal iimage.
A few strands of cotton thread add further to the texture and delicate splatters of white paint lift the design.
I stamped my sentiment onto parchment paper for a further texture.
I used low tack tape to mask off the edges of my card, giving me a lovely white border so that my focal image stands proud in the central panel.

Seize The Day

Today I am showcasing a card I created as one of my demo pieces from a few shows I have attended around the country, using my Border Stamp "Hexagonal Stem" #206, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I love creating this faux wood panelling effect and I also decided to get in touch with my purple side. I don't often use purple in  my creations and I thought it was about time I changed that.
Once I started creating a few cards in this colour way I could not stop. So the following couple of weeks you will be seeing a lot of purple from me!
I used Distress Oxides Wilted Violed and Shaded Lilac to colour my flower and I also added a touch more dimension on the hexagonal elements.
