I decorated an Etcetera Tag from Tim Holtz
- Apply Grunge Paste over Tim Holtz Herringbone Layering Stencil and allow to dry. Add random strips of card to the background for added texture and further layers.
- Coat the tag with a coat of Gesso front and back and once dry paint the tag with two coats of Raw Umber DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic to the font and back of the tag and then dry with a heat tool.
- Apply a coat of DecoArt Media Crackle Paint to the front of the tag and allow to dry completely.
- Once completely dry then add a wash of Raw Umber over the top to highlight the cracks further and to age a little more and then dry with a heat tool.
- Scribble Vintage Photo Distress Crayon around the Stencilled areas and around the edges of the card pieces and smudge with a finger.
I sanded the edges of the tag and then added more Raw Umber Fluid Acrylic to age further. I added a little clock pin and some Tim Holtz Bouquet Flowers alonw with some Chatter Tape.
Tim Holtz Adornments Stars add further dimension to my piece. I coloured each of the stars with Rust Alcohol Ink to blend with my whole piece. Remnant Rubs also add a further layer of interest.
I love adding my trademark rusty wire and I love her little crown.
A Quote Chip completes my piece.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

What a beautiful tag Tracy! love all the layers of color, and crackle - the little scene in the box is so sweet with the crowned doll and scrolls! such a great design! Julia xx
Completely in love with this, Tracy. The background, the little curio box, the wire frame (just as well I went with another tag this month - my planned one had one almost the same!). Fabulous composition and gorgeous distressed neutrals - sheer perfection!

Beautiful. I love the tag and all of the awesome elements. Great look and I love this type of art and so glad I saw your beautiful piece of art.
You always have the courage to go with your creative muse Tracy which always results in amazing ideas and creations. This is no exception, I love the cream crackled background, the textures and beautiful curio box with the little elements sitting inside it. A brilliant tag xxx
I completely adore the background Tracy and found it so interesting to read the order of applications on how you achieved it! Stunning effect and the way you finished it all makes for the most perfect composition. I love the neutral tones and vinatge effects, a brilliant tag!

Gorgeous! You have a gift with composition and color. I love that tiny crown, too.
I love how you turn these jumbo tags into assemblages. The tiny doll and box are such gorgeous accents and draw the eye in, but the size allows you to graze over that textured background with ease. Lovely make! Hugs, Autumn
Great tag and you are correct, creativity does take courage.
