Thank You

This is the final challenge of 2013 for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and we hope you'll join us! The challenge this week is a simple one; use a stamp! What better way to end the year than stamping it out in style. Background, sentiment, big or small, all stamping is welcome this week.

I've created a THANK YOU card this week to thank you, all our readers for joining in our challenges for 2013, I personally have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your fabulous artwork, so a huge THANK YOU from me.
I created a 5" x 7" card blank and then cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card front and spritzed with water.
Apply Fired Brick, Broken China and and a touch of Spiced Marmalade Distress Paint to a Non-Stick Craft Sheet and then mop up the colour with the white card.
Pick up Broken China Distress Paint onto the edge of a Craft Scraper and add scratchy lines of paint to the background for further interest.
Apply Broken China Distress Ink to the edges of the coloured card.
Apply Broken China Distress Paint to the Hero Arts Number Pattern Stamp and then stamp onto the coloured card.
Using the same colours to stamp as used in the background gives tone on tone stamping, something I love and also gives a further layer of interest.
Stamp the Carved Bird twice onto the coloured card using Watering Can Archival Ink. I have also added some random machine stitching for further interest.
Add Beeswax to the Melt Pot, set the thermostat to the UTEE setting and allow to melt. Once melted turn the thermostat down to approximately 120/140 setting on the thermostat. Remember to use a project pan for melting Beeswax. Brush the Beeswax over the stamped design and also add Beeswax randomly to the edges of the card for added texture.
Once the Beeswax has dried, which is almost immediately then apply White Fire Treasure Wax to the edges to highlight the texture.
I love how the stamping using the Distress Paint is visible over the stamped image and I always love to add random stitching to a piece of art.
Paint an Enameled tag with Distress Paints and then add 'imagine' using Remnant Rubs Words. Attach the tag to the card with a Jump Ring attached to a Hinge Clip.
I have also added hearts cut from white card using the Simon Says Stamp Large Heart Set Craft Die, colouring each heart with Broken China Distress Ink and adding background stamping to each heart using the Hero Arts Number Pattern Stamp.

To complete I stamped THANK YOU onto white card with Watering Can Archival Ink and then coloured with Broken China Distress Ink.

For more great ideas please pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects. Remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp.  I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.

Tracy...your Thank You card is gorgeous! Love the colors! Love all of the stamping you've added. And...the addition of the UTEE and the White Fire Treasure Wax is very very cool! I would have not thought of doing that on this card...but of course, YOU did! The little details of the random stitching and the enameled tag really are such cool little details that you always think of. Love it! <3 Candy

Holy cow, Tracy! I always read your posts with my mouth half-open in awe (I'm sure I am not attractive to see this way, but I can't help it)! Your project steps always impress the heck out of me and you seriously are the master of about every technique known to man. Another great project that got my own creative gears turning...
