Altered Alice Chapter 10 Challenge, Week 1 - A Lewis Christmas Carol To All!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from The Altered AliceThis month the Design Team brings you their holiday wishes, and we invite you to send your holiday greetings to The Altered Alice. You have until Friday, 23 December to enter. The winner post will either be a little early or late, as the last Sunday of the month falls on Christmas day!

Our prize this month is a $40.00 gift certificate to Custom Crops, the premier online retailer for crafters of all kinds. From Accuquilt to Zva Creative, adhesives to vinyl and everything in between, Custom Crops offers a huge selection of the products you've been looking for at competive prices with fast, friendly customer service.

I decided to create a double page journal piece for this months creation using images from IndigoBlu.

I applied a layer of Gesso to prime my pages and then added Gesso through a snowflake stencil and allowed to dry.  I then applied broken china Distress Ink to my page, spritzing with water to blend. I then sprayed sky blue ink spray by Dyan through a mini numbers Crafter's Workshop mask to add a further layer of interest. Evergreen bough Distress Ink was then applied through the same snowflake stencil to add more dimension and interest to my page.

I added some text "WINTER WONDERLAND" and some black and white interest to my pages along with a border to the bottom of my page.

I cut out baubles using the carved ornaments die and stamped my images onto each bauble, adding a crackle background to each and sponging with broken china ink and then adding to my page. A little computer generated text completes my double page spread.

We look forward to seeing your holiday greetings, If it features Wonderland, you will have two chances at the randomly awarded prize instead of one. Multiple entries are fine, but each must be on a separate post. Link your entries over at The Altered Alice.

Thanks for stopping by. Tracy x x
