Find Joy In The Ordinary

Welcome, today I have a mixed media project using one of Tim Holtz Etcetera Tags combined with one of my favourite stamps Numbered Botanical #110 from AALLandCreate.
I love creating textural pieces and this piece was a joy to create, adding lots of layers from Texture Paste to layers of paint.
I stamped my fern onto thick white card several times and cut out the image and then adhered them together to give me a dimensional piece, which I then adhered to my Etcetera Tag and then painted over the design, also incorporating texture by adding Texture Paste through the Lotza Dotz Stencil.
I used Distress Paints for this piece and I love how the darker tones settle into the crevices of the design.
I also incorporated a touch of background stamping using the same stamp and then highlighted some of the texture with Gold Wax.
Creating these pieces are always one of my favourites as you never quite know where the creative process will take you.

Natures Garden

Welcome, today I have a card using one of my older sets Natures Garden #71 from AALLandCreate.
I have been having fun with shaving foam and Distress Oxide Re-inkers this time around and I am so delighted with the vibrancy of the backdrop.
I also brayered a piece of white card with Fresco Finish Paints and then stamped my flower onto the brayered background and then cut out my flowers to add a touch more dimension to my design.
I also incorporated some tone on tone stamping using my Border Stamp #34, stamping with Fresco Finish Paint.
A torn piece of vintage book pages ground my flower and I also incorporated some delicate splatters of paint.
I love the vibrancy of this card and I love revisiting some of my older designs.

Thanks so much for popping by. Enjoy your weekend. Tracy x x

Make Today Amazing

Welcome, today I have a card using one of my older sets Doodled Blooms #140 from AALLandCreate.
I went back to one of my favourite colour palettes this time but still keeping some vibrancy to my design.
I added lots of layers with paint, stencils and watercolour pencils and also incorporated a rusty nail for added interest.
I also added further dimension, adding two layers to my flower along with a bead for added interest. I love how each layer is still visible and the touches of white keep the vibrancy to my design. I also added some further stamping using my Border Stamp #34.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your comments. Tracy x x

Stitched Fern

Today I am revisiting one of my older sets #110 Numbered Botanical from AALLandCreate. All the products are available HERE.
I love this stamp, there is so much detail and little touches to use in your designs, along with the fabulous fern image, which I am showcasing here on a fresh backdrop of Acrylic Paints.
I added dimension to one half of my fern and added some shading with an Inktense Pencil. The background has been created with a Brayer and lots of layers of paint along with a touch of stencilling.
I have highlighted the numbers further by cutting out each one to give dimension to my design.
I also hand stitched some silver beads for added interest.

Make Today Amazing

I love all the stamps that I have released with AALLandCreate and I like to revisit some of the older sets and today I am revisiting set #140 Doodled Blooms from AALLandCreate. All the products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I began by adding some masking tape to my background for texture and then painted my card with Impasto Paint, Cobalt and Jade, adding a touch of water to blend.
I added some further texture to the background, applying texture paste over Autour de Mwa's stencil Lotza Dotz. I then added three flowers to the foreground adding dimension to each of the flower heads.

I coloured each of the flower heads with Inktense pencils, which blend beautifully and I also incorporated a gold bead to each for added dimension.
Before adhering the flower heads, I spritzed with water and then crumpled each of them to add a touch more texture to each and I then stapled the flowers into place.

I also added a few delicate splatters of Tangerine Acrylic Paint to the background.

Doodled Art

Sometimes I love to create artwork from those bits and pieces left on my desk following a creative spell and today I am showcasing my newly released Border Stamp, Numbered Pencils #165 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I had this background lying around on my desk, sometimes I have a few hours just creating backgrounds and this one was courtesy of Distress Oxide Inks Vintage Photo and Evergreen Bough.
I had several die cut circles lying around and opted to utilise those in this design, both acting as spotlights in the background. I added touches of colour with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
A scrap of hessian was also utilised in the background along with a broken pencil which I hand stitched to my card.
The central card piece I also scrunched to give crease lines which would be more visible once I added ink and really adds to the aged feel.
A few pen lines around the outside edges of my canvas along with a few scraps of vintage book pages complete the design.

Framed Ladybird

I am really enjoying creating dimensional pieces at the moment and today I am showcasing my newly released A4 Stamp, Ladybug #161 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I have combined vintage tones with touches of red, one of my favourite combinations.
Once again I have added lots of layers to my ladybird, including wire, clay and vintage book pages.
A few delicate splatters of paint coordinate with the red in the ladybird. I added a frame to five further dimension to my piece and to draw the eye into the focal imagery.
I also added some Distress Crayon around the edges to give dimension along with a Tim Holtz Story Stick.
