Eileen Hull Book Club 2 Release

Hi and welcome, today I have a post as part of the Eileen Hull DT and this month we are showcasing the fantastic Book Club 2 release.
This time around I thought I would showcase the fabulous Wrap Around Journal Die. You can view the whole Book Club 2 Collection HERE.  The Wrap Around Journal Die is a Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die which means you can cut almost any material with this die, it's fantastic and so versatile. Those of you in the UK can pre order this die from Country View Crafts HERE.

This journal is die cut from felt and I added pieces of moutboard behind the felt to make it more surdy. I then randomly machine stitched the card and the felt together.
I used a vintage doily around the spine and then machine stitched and also hand stiched some pearls into place, leaving some of the threads loose for added texture.
I included a zip behind my fractured doll, wrapping her in red twine to coordinate with my pops of red in the fabric and flowers. I printed off the wording curious and added to my doll. I also included some ruler ribbon for added interest.
I added watercolour paper to the inside of my journal and the inside covers are covered with vintage ephemera.
The vintage rent card I have added to the inside cover really gives another vintage touch to my piece.
I love the Floral Cutouts Movers and Shapers die and here I added some red card behind to coordinate with the pops of red on my cover.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back with another showcase of Eileen's fabulous release soon.

There are so many amazing details in this journal. I love the felt idea; sneaking peeks of a vintage red card tucked underneath with the flower cutouts is really a special touch! That vintage doily sewn on then treated to royalty with the addition of pearls-just perfect! It’s really neat how the cover wraps around this, that way you could always feel that wonderful felt protecting the enclosed artwork. Thanks for sharing your inspiring creation Tracy! Oh yes, that fractured doll is a crowning glory!

This is a magnificent display of what can be achieved with that die, I love every inch of this Tracy. So much love, thought and attention has gone into this the possibilities are endless to its use. To be able to wrap and enclose makes our art work seem even more important. This die I will find invaluable! Thank you for the inspiration and wonderful creation.

Tracy, this is really, really beautiful, I just love felt, it is so tactile and yours makes me want to pick it up and touch it. The embellishments you added are wonderful, the zip, the pearls with the red thread and the frozen Charlotte - they all look so perfect. Hugs, Anne xx
