Adventure Awaits You

Morning, hope you are all enjoying your weekend. We have another fabulous challenge for you over at the Love to Create Challenge Blog where the theme is Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes.
I thought I would try something a little different with my PanPastels this week and use my Metallics to create a faux metal piece of art. I die cut the ATB using Eileen Hull's Cube/Block Die, cut from black mountboard and I then embossed pieces of black card to decorate each side of the ATB. Once I embossed each piece I then pressed my VersaMark Inkpad onto the embossed pieces and then added Rich Gold, Light Gold and Bronze PanPastel to the embossed pieces and then blended the colours together with the PanPastel Soft Art Sponge, adding more colour as necessary. I then added touches of silver PanPastel to the raised areas.
I added touches of Carbon Black to the edges of the embossed pieces to age further and it worked perfectly.
I die cut Tim Holtz Mini Pocket Watch from black card adding several layers for dimension and then die cut the Watch from one of Tim's Found Relatives cards and then added an old vintage pocket watch frame to the front for added interest.  I also included two old pen nibs, adding touches of Light Gold PanPastel to the tips of the nibs. 'Journey' has been added using Tim Holtz Big Chat Stickers.
I die cut the Mini Old Jalopy from black card, adding five layers for dimension and then added touches of Rich Gold and Light Gold PanPastel to the edges. I also included some Mini Sprockets. I added a Memo Pin with 'Adventure Awaits You' again using ChitChat Stickers.
I included a Prima wooden clock and Paris sign along with another of Tim's Found relatives.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x
