Party Animal

Time for my second Guest Designer piece for Fernli Designs.
I decided to decorate a Giant Tag and a coordinating Matchbox along with an accordion card to fit inside the matchbox.
I decorated the matchbox with Distress Paints and added some bakground stencilling for added interest along with painty circles using a paint lid. I used Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn paints. I then created an painty background onto white card using Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks and then stamped Tim Holtz bird onto the background and cut out and then added to the top of the matchbox. I also added Remnant Rubs and touches of red paint.
I also sanded the edges of the matchbox to give a distressed feel to the design.
I also continued the stencilling around the sides of the matchbox.
I added a Hitch Fastener to the front of the matchbox and then added my accordion . This would make a lovely alternative birthday card.
I created an inky backdrop for my Crazy Birds using Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean Distress Inks, adding a a second layer with a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil to add further interest to the design. Touches of red paint add a further layer of interest.
I stamped the birds twice to add dimension to the design.
The huge tag has also been coloured with Distress Paints and I added Wendy Vecchi Crackled Texture Paste through a Layering Stencil and then dripped paint over the crackles to highlight.
I stamped the Crazy Bird onto white card and coloured with Distress Paints and gave hinm a hat painted with Fired Brick Distress Paint. Party Animal has been added using Label Letters.
I added balloons from a Stampotique image and coloured with Distress Markers. I also added delicate splatters of Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Paint.
For added interest and dimension I also included a Faux Hinge to the bottom of my tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x x

Love your Crazy Birds and the crackly dots and the fab colour combo (of course!!). I've finally yielded to the birds - they're on their way - though I'm still not sure how they'll fit into my crafting... but I do love them everywhere I see them, and this is right up there!
