I thought I would try something a little different this week for my DT creation for Creative Expressions using the Heartfelt Ornamental Medallion stamp set.
I love candles for Christmas and decorating them is so simple but gives such a professional finish. These make perfect long lasting inexpensive gifts for family and friends.
It takes a few simple steps to create these candles. Firstly stamp the image onto plain white tissue paper using any StazOn ink.
Cut around the image, you do not have to be exact with this just simply cut around the outside edge of the image.
Add a little glue using a glue stick to hold the image into place.
Wrap the candle with greaseproof paper, ensuring you have enough to grab hold of at the back of your candle, this will prevent you burning your hands. At this stage you simply heat the image with your heat tool; you will see a subtle change in the tissue and that's it the image is transferred onto the candle and the tissue is invisible.
I stamped my candles in two different colours adding decorative pearls to one for a little more interest and dimension.
I wrapped natural twine around the top of each candle to add a little more texture and decoration.
I also added two ornate wooden baubles to each candle to give the perfect finishing touch to my gifts.
Simple, inexpensive, fun to create and a long lasting gift!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x
