There's A Chill In The Air

Time for more shows from Sheena Douglass this week on Friday and the show times are 11am, 2pm and 6pm.  This time around we are showcasing more stamps from the Sketchy range.
I combined the sketchy image with Distress Inks for that icy feel, the snowman just cried out for those icy blues.  I added broken china and faded jeans ink to the background and spritzed with water.  For further interest to my background I sponged through a snowflake stencil with faded jeans ink.
I added a little dimension to the Snowman's hat and embossed with clear embossing powder to give a glass tile like finish. I have hand sewn black buttons to his body and added snowflakes cut using a Memory Box die for further dimension.  Glitter has been added to the houses and the tree.
I continued with the icy blue theme for my second card, adding snowflakes to the background, applying Gesso through a snowflake stencil. My snowman has been showcased alone on this card and framed using the Floral Ovals Spellbinders die.
From this picture you can see the detail and texture the Gesso gives to my snowflakes.  I have also added the sentiment, again from the same stamp set. I have also added Let It Snow to his body and to the top of my frame.
For a little more texture I have added clear Rock Candy to his hat and coloured him with Distress Markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x
