Things With Wings For Simon Says

I have another obsession at the moment and that is the Artful Shrine Art Parts and this week I have decorated my piece using the lovely lacy background from Sentimental Art and coloured with Distress Ink Wild Honey. The background piece is from the Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection which has been embossed with Tim's Pattern and Stitches Texture Fade, and the raised areas sanded. One side of the shrine has been embellished with the dress form from the Sewing Room die. Embellishments include Memo Pins, Ornate Plate, buttons and a collection of pieces from my own stash.
The vintage spools were coloured with Distress Ink, ribbon and lace added and adhered to my shelf.  I added memo pins with SEW printed on my computer.  I have added a thimble and brass scissors to add to my sewing theme.
I have added some dimension to my dress form, adding layers of pages from an old book, colouring with Distress Ink Broken China and adding WINGS cut using the Heart Wings die, again coloured with Distress Ink Wild Honey.  From one of my wings I have added a small bird charm using Jump Rings to dangle.
A close up shows the embossed detail in the background and the fabulous detail from Wendy's lace stamp. I have added co-ordinated buttons and a second pair of brass scissors.
The top of my shrine has an Ornate Plate with SEW printed on the computer added to the inside.  I added Glossy Accents and then coloured with Rust Alcohol Ink.

Pop over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects and remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp.  I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, much appreciated.  Enjoy your week. Tracy x x

Tracy....your Art Parts Shrine is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE your dimensional mannequin. It is brilliant! Love the wings and the bird charm hanging from one of them. The Tim embossed background is perfect. The shrine is just so amazing! All of your attention to detail...even down to the little trinket pin pinned to the lace on one of the vintage spools. Every element works perfectly together! <3 Candy

This is just too terrific, Tracy! I love the whole dress form/sewing theme and all the embellishments to support it. Beautiful color palette and that Wendy lace stamp is spectacular. I see why you are addicted to the art shrines - they work up so perfectly with just about any theme. Super job on the wings challenge!

Have a great week.

Gorgeous work, Tracy! I love the little bobbins at the bottom and the way the text in the paper gives even more texture and 3D effect to the piece!
