Play Date Cafe Challenge

A beautiful colour inspiration photo from The Play Date Cafe this week, I really love those lanterns, I can imagine them hanging in my garden in Spring.  I had to think quite a while about what I was going to do for this weeks challenge as I wanted to do something a little different from a card.  No me and thinking don't really go together so it was hard work LOL.
I decided on a gift bag which in its self is a challenge for me as I don't really do sewing either, but hey that's what a challenge is all about right.   My central panel is this heart which I drew onto a sheet of canvas which I then coloured with acrylic paints, blending with a baby wipe to get the colour I needed.  I stamped my Dill Print image from Memory Box (available from THE STAMP ATTIC) with StazOn ink.
I then machine stitched a panel of white fabric (which I frayed) and orange felt together which I then hand stitched my heart onto adding glass seed beads along the way.  I have also added a little padding to the heart too.
To complete I added a flower and buttons.  I think this will make a great gift bag for jewellery.  Until the next time, have a great day, Tracy x x

It is wonderful to work with fabric, is it not !!!???
This creation of yours is really inventive, useful and beautiful...what an amazing gift container. Whoever receives a gift in it, will have the bag as another gift.
Very clever!

I have an award to pass on and I thought you may like to receive it. It was given to me by Sherry and I need to pass it along. It is up to you entirely, but you are very welcome to have it for your sidebar.
