ALICE Spool

Time for another DT piece for THE STAMP ATTIC using the SPOOLS from the Collections Elements range. I have tried to create something a little different from my normal style and using a little less stamping to show what you can do with wonderful decorative papers and a few embellishments, oh and to try and challenge myself to come up with something a little different.
I have used the GRAPHIC 45 Halloween In Wonderland papers for this piece.  I have also taken quite a few photographs for this piece as it is very difficult to show the whole SPOOL in one picture.
I have cut out the small playing card sized images from the paper and adhered the images back to back and added them to the top of the SPOOL with Tim's Jump Rings.
I have cut out images of Alice and added her to the actual SPOOL and to the top along with a small pack of playing cards I had from a cracker last Christmas.  I have coloured the container of the playing cards with Meadow Alcohol Ink so that the plastic container blends in with the rest of the piece.
The top of the spool has also had a couple of metal pieces added from Kabuka Mould No. 7, which I have coloured with StazOn Olive Green and sanded to highlight some of the areas.
This is the reverse and as you can see I have added another metal piece, a clock, again coloured and sanded to blend in with the rest of the SPOOL.
At the base of the spool I have added Curiouser & Curiouser printed on my computer and hearts using the new Stampotique Stamp Daniel's Hearts, I absolutely love the shape of these hearts and thought they fitted in quite nicely.

I would also like to enter this piece for the OH ALICE challenge which this week is Halloween In Wonderland.  Until the next time, have a great week, Tracy x x

This is an absolutely WONDERful Wonderland piece! My favorite part is the little vignette at the top with Alice peeping around the playing cards, so much fun! Thanks for playing along with Oh, Alice! and for submitting this fun piece to The Altered Alice! :-)

This is a sculpture!!! It must have taken you ages.
It is truly amazing...well done you!! What with this and the fabric heart which I have just seen, you are well out of your comfort zone. (That does not sound right as I meant it as a compliment).
You have encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and do something radical..God knows what.

Where are you going to keep it???

It is brilliant!!!!!!!!!
Have a lovely weekend
