Quirky Bird Shadow Box

Morning Everyone, hope you all have a good Friday and weekend planned.

Today I have a shadow box I created on a recent Facebook Live for Stamper's Grove. I joined Olga Heldwein in a joint live, creating together, it was such fun.

I really enjoyed creating this piece. I spent quite a bit of time thinking about the whole concept and I am rather pleased with the outcome. Hope you like it too.

I love the technique I used in the background, The Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Spray worked so well, adding to the overall grungy/vintage feel of my piece.

I also incorporated some embellishments using my stamps and a Hot Glue Gun and I love the outcome. Some quirky additions.

I also incorporated some stencilling in the backdrop to add a further layer of interest.

I also added some lollipop sticks to give further dimension and interest along with some rusty organic bird houses/cages.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed looking at the closer details of this project.

I absolutely loved this piece that you did and wow you opened my eyes to frayed burlap! Love that you did birds in your collection, so many possibilities. You have really brought my art on leaps and bounds. So happy to be part of the gang. hugs xx

Great projects this week I thoroughly enjoyed watching you create this but had to leave early as my 4 year old grandson FaceTimeed me and I wasn’t going to pass on that especially in lockdown
