I was inspired by my fellow team member Andrea to use the Prima Flowers Lorrena stamp.
I often begin my projects by simply laying out my pieces onto the canvas whilst I am working out ideas.
I stamped the Prima Doll onto a piece of Calico fabric using Black Archival Ink and then cut out.
I clothed the doll with Tim Holtz Fabric which I cut into strips and then fixed into place with a glue stick and then machined stitched the pieces together.
I added a black bodice using black card and then coated with Mutli Medium Matt to protect the card. I also added a tiny clock part from Prima to her neckline.
I added a touch of stencilling using the Prima Flowers Lace Trim Stencil and White Embossing Paste.
I added a Tim Holtz Ornate Plate, Prima Flowers Bottle Cap, Prima Flowers Flower Shapes, Prima Flowers Jeans Buttons, a Zip Pull, Martha Stewart Medallion, Hanger Clip and Locket Key. I coated all the embellishments with a coat of Gesso and once dry I painted with Weathered Wood Distress Paint.
I added further embellishments to the bottom of her dress which I painted with Distress Paints and highlighted the detail with Treasure Silver Wax. I also kept all the threads in place from the machine stitching to add extra texture and interest. I added DREAM to a Memo Pin stamped onto white card using the Simple Sayings Stamp Set and coloured with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.
I dry brushed the canvas with Walnut Stain Distress Paint to coordinate with the browns in the fabric used on the skirt. I added a piece of Ball Chain to her waistline.
Touches of Black Soot Distress Paint have also been added as a contrast.

Well I'm honored that I inspired you to use this Prima stamp, but I think the admiration goes both ways! I adore what you did with this project and love how it has an industrial elegant vibe. Truly unique, as are all of your ideas, and it's always a joy to see what you come up with. I really love this one!

Utterly stunning, Tracy! The colours, embellishments and textures with the subtle gilding (silvering?) are magical… and for the first time I can really see the point of one of those dolls - her skirt is magnificent with the pleated fabric, and I just adore all the stray threads. Completely brilliant!

FABULOUS! I love how you did the skirt!!!
How amazing is it that I came across this via Pinterest, minutes ago? I didn't even know of you when you created this. What is uber cool is I was immediately drawn to it & THEN saw your name. That for me is huge!
I never ordered these dolls as I couldn't see versatility? This is the first project I've seen (& there's been many) that not only shows how wrong I was but as soon as I saw it "I want to try this!" was my first thought! Thank YOU, Tracy, I have felt so much more inspired, in different ways since "meeting" you!!! Genuine! Hope you see this after nearly 4 years. Oh & doesn't that show how timeline this gorgeous piece is?!!!
