We have a fabulous set to work with this month from Sam Poole, ART HOUSES A5 stamp plate from Creative Expressions, these are right up my street!
I decided to create a dimensional piece to showcase Sam's fabulous images.
These are the fabulous images I will be working with for the next four weeks.
I began with a chunky ATC which I painted with black acrylic paint and I then cut 4 ATC's from white card stock, two for this project and two for a later project.
I stamped each ATC with the A6 Ruler Stamp Plate also from Sam Pool and another stamp we were given to work with this month, perfect combination with the house images. Each ATC was stamped using coffee Archival Ink and then coloured with brushed corduroy Distress Ink.
Once I had coloured all the ATC's I added walnut stain Distress Ink around the edges for definition.
From this picture you can see the definition the walnut stain gives around the edges along with a touch of black Soot Distress Ink.
My ATC's were then spritzed with Ancient Copper Cosmic Shimmer Mist to add a little more interest to the background.
As you can see the ATC's have been used as the backdrop for the house images which I stamped onto white card using black Archival Ink, and I then coloured the house with a walnut stain Distress Marker. I have also added one of Wendy Vecchi's Embellish Your Art Black Crows to the roof of my house.
I added a little dimension to the crown on the house stamping twice onto white card and colouring with Distress Ink. I then applied VersaMark directly onto the stamped image and then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heated with my heat tool to melt.
The embossing adds great texture and dimension to the crown.
I then used my walnut stain Distress Marker, applied a little ink to my non-stick craft sheet and coloured my image.
I used a water brush to apply and blend the colour.
I found a small lock in my collection, I applied pitch black Paint Dabber to the lock with my finger.
Dab off any excess paint with paper towel.
This gives the lock a fabulous aged look and feel.
I purchased a couple of corner plates from my local DIY store and coloured with ginger Alcohol Ink. These were used to form a roof on my chunky ATC.
This is the other side of my ATC adding a second stamped house and adding dimension on the dominoes. I also added a mini domino which I coloured with Alcohol Ink. I also added an Idea-ology Lock again aged with pitch black Paint Dabber. Both sides of my ATC have had a wooden number added, well no house is complete without a number! I also added two larger dominoes as feet to my chunky ATC.
The sides of my chunky piece have had strips added stamped with the background stamp, a domino and a dream plaque, all coloured with Alcohol Ink.
The opposite side has had a key added.
This is the top of my ATC, showcasing a key, domino and heart to represent home is where the heart is.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back next week with my second piece using these fabulous stamps.
