MONTHLY BLOG HOP......................

....................With Artistic Outpost and this month we are showcasing the fabulous Huck Finn and Route 66 plates.
I decided to use the Huck Finn plate, I love the collage of images and they are perfect for masculine cards.  I cut a circle from scrap paper and used the aperture as a mask and sponged the background with Distress Inks and then added the boat image with black Archival Ink.
For a little more interest I sponged broken china ink through sequin waste, I thought the circles from the sequin waste complemented the image in the large circle. I then stamped the text to the left hand side of my card, how fabulous is that wording.
I cut a smaller circle from white card and stamped part of the image and sponged with Distress Ink, adding to a little hessian to add to that beach/sea feel.
I enjoyed this spot stamping so much I decided to create a second card, this one is 5" x 7" and this time around I spritzed the Distress Inks in my circle to add to that watery/sea feel.
I stamped the two boys so that they appear to be glancing over at the boat. I coloured my images with Distress Markers and added "Dream", "Explore". and "Discover" to the top of the card, perfect for a young adventurous boys card. Three small gears and game spinner were added for a little more interest.
I cut a strip of washer from white card using the washer border die, coloured with Distress Inks and added to the bottom corner along with a gear, wooden button, twine and some hessian.

My fellow Design Team members have created some fabulous pieces, pop along and be inspired along the way.

Artistic Outpost are also holding a fabulous Referral Program, the theme being TRAVEL why not pop along HERE for all the details and there is a fabulous prize on offer too.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, I appreciate them all. Tracy x x
