Creative Chemistry Day 7

Time for Day 7 of Tim's Creative Chemistry and this week I am showcasing the Nostalgic Batik Tachnique and the Rusted Enamel Technique. All the products I have used are available from The Stamp Attic.
I decided to add my first tag to a card, just to make it a little different from Tim's and yet again I added my own little twist, embellishments and different images. I like to make things my own. My first piece uses the bird image from Tim's Urban Tapestry set which I have inked with peacock feathers Distress Ink (the Spring limited edition set), showcasing the Nostalgic Batik Technique.
The colours blended in the background are again from the limited edition set squeezed lemonade and a little shaded lilac.  To add a little more interest I embossed my tag using Tim's Embossing Diffusers and the damask texture fade, highlighting the raised areas with the limited edition Distress Inks. I have added the sentiment from the Words for Thought set stamped with peacock feathers ink and sponged with broken china. A wing from the Adornments Regal has been added to a double bow.
As you all know I love my embellishments and this time around I decided on the Birdcage from Tim's Idea-ology range adding part of my bird image to the inside, coloured with a little broken china Distress Ink.  I have added BIRD to the outside of the cage, printed on my computer. A little natural twine and heart from the Adornments add more interest.
My little bird has a crown added to his head from the Adornments pack and the completed tag has been added to a card using Core'dinations card stock, adding BIRD to the bottom of my card using Alpha Parts.
My next piece showcases the Rusted Enamel Technique which I love and looks so effective especially when seen in real life.
This picture shows the background a little better, I have added a little machine stitching to my tag giving a little more interest along with the butterflies from the Papillon set, which I stamped with black Archival Ink and coloured with Distress, cutting out and adding to my tag. I have added a couple of Pen Nibs and Mini Paper Clips to the bottom.
A little chicken wire has been added to the centre along with FLY using Alpha Parts. My mini rose has been created from Glassine using the Tattered Pinecone die.
The top has three more butterflies added along with fly in lowercase.  Coordinated ribbon adds the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by and following my creative journey during the Creative Chemistry course. Tracy x x
