Creative Chemistry Day 6

Day 6 of Tim's Creative Chemistry explores Distress Markers and is more of an opportunity to play around with this fabulous product.  I created two tags using my favourite techniques. All the products I have used are available from The Stamp Attic.
I went for a more muted colour palette than Tim used in his tutorial, I've used a few bright colours recently in my last few posts so fancied a change back to my usual earthy, muted tones.
The first tag uses the Papillon set using the Markers direct to the stamp and also watercolouring with them. I have also applied frayed burlap Distress Ink in the background and flicked with water. A Philosophy Tag attached with a Swivel Clasp has been added along with  a pearl bauble and coordinated ribbon.
I have added dimension to the third butterfly and watercoloured the wings and body.  For a little more interest I have added FLY using Tim's Alpha Cards folded in half and stapled to the bottom of my tag, colouring with a little Distress Ink to blend with the background of my tag.
My second tag uses Tim's Embossing Diffusers, I love them. I have used the oval one on this occasion, colouring the embossed areas with Distress Ink wild honey. My image from Tim's Natures Discovery set uses the brushless watercolour technique with the Distress Markers.
As we are in the month of May I thought I would add the calendar from Tim's Calendar 1 set stamped with coffee Archival Ink and coloured with wild honey. I have also added some Lavish Trimmings coloured with Distress Stain wild honey.
For added interest and dimension I have added a dimensional flower, cut using the Tattered Pinecone die from Sticky Back Canvas which I adhered to card stock before cutting;  I love the added texture this gives. I've added a piece of  washer from the Washer Border Strip die along with some cord tied in a bow. To complete I have added the sentiment from Tim's Mini Muse set.

Thanks for stopping by, Tracy x x
