Altered Alice Chapter 15 Challenge, Week 1 - Anyway You Go Will Get You Somewhere!

Wow I cannot believe another month has passed by and we are here again with our monthly challenge at The Altered Alice . Of course no Alice challenge is complete without our choice of monthly quote from the book:

`Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
`That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat.
`I don't much care where--' said Alice.
`Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
`--so long as I get SOMEWHERE,' Alice added as an explanation.
`Oh, you're sure to do that,' said the Cat, `if you only walk long enough.'
-- Chapter 6, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Anyway you go will get you somewhere, so this month's challenge at The Altered Alice is ANYTHING GOES! It's all up to you, and we can't wait to see what road you will take with YOUR project. Wonderland entries are encouraged; you will be rewarded with two chances at the draw instead of one.  Multiple entries are fine as long as each is on a separate post. You have until 25th May to enter!

ALICE ON SALE!!!
ALL
Alice in Wonderland
on sale May 6-26, 2012

Our sponsor this month is the amazing Alpha Stamps [Store | Blog], and Alice fans are in for a real treat when they shop in this magical store! Alpha Stamps features exclusive rubber stamps, collage sheets, paper dolls, kits and collage supplies of all kinds. Their Alice in Wonderland selection is HUGE! Other shopping themes include Steampunk, Birds, French Vintage, Circus, and many more. I love it that you can shop by theme or product type. Be sure to enroll in their newsletter, as the supplies used in the latest artwork from their talented design team are often on sale! They also have fun challenges that are hosted on their Facebook page. The winners are chosen by the number of "likes" each project receives!

The Altered Alice design team will be working with this newly released exclusive "Alice's Adventures" stamp set from Alpha Stamps, plus some Alpha Stamps exclusive collage sheets and other collage supply goodies! The winner will receive this same "Alice's Adventures" unmounted rubber sheet! Some of it is the original Tenniel illustrations, but others are more rare, making for a really fun set. I love them all!
I decided to decorate  a couple of teapots this month using the Teapot Chipboard Album, my first of which is covered in paper from the 7 Gypsies Paddington range which is covered in clock faces, perfect for my TIME FOR TEA piece.
I then cut a heart from the Mad Hatter's Tea Party collage sheet #3  and sponged the edges with wild honey Distress Ink. I then stamped Alice from the newly released stamp set and coloured with Distress Markers. For further interest I added a coordinated bow and tea pot charm (Alpha Stamps have some fabulous ones HERE) which I coloured with Alcohol Ink to blend with my decorated pieces. I also added a a watch face from Tim's Idea-ology range perfect for TIME FOR TEA.
I stamped the fabulous cat from the new release onto a tea cup which is included with the chipboard album and again coloured with wild honey ink, adding black soot ink to the edges. I stamped TIME FOR TEA with a small alphabet set, coloured with wild honey ink, applying black soot to the edges.
Whilst I was on a roll I decided to decorate teapot number 2, this time covered with plain beige paper, applying fired brick ink to the edges.
I cut a heart from Alice The Trial Collage Sheet showcasing the white rabbit, again adding fired brick ink to the edges.  I then stamped the white rabbit from the new release of stamps, coloured with Distress Markers and added to my teapot. I stamped the text "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" onto white card, coloured with fired brick ink and added to the teapot.  For added dimension I have added a clock charm, coordinated bow and a small heart embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
I printed I'm Late, I'm Late onto tape from my computer, colouring with fired brick ink and added to my teapot along with a couple more embossed hearts and some natural cord.
I created a coordinated tag which again was covered with plain beige paper. I used the new Embossing Diffusers for my background along with a heart Cuttlebug folder, applying fired brick ink to the embossed areas.  I cut two hearts from the beige card using the mini hearts die and machine stitched down the centre of each, adding a wooden 'A' to each for ALICE.
I added the small playing card images to the top of my tag cut from the I Wonder Collage Sheet stapled into place on the top fo my tag.  Natural cord has been tied in a bow and added to my tag.
The fabulous images on my tag are from the new release stamp set, I love them.  Again I coloured with Distress Markers, cut out and added to my tag along with a red gingham bow and sentiment from the same set.
As an Alice fan it's fabulous to see some different images on a stamp set and I love these.

ONE  randomly drawn winner will receive the same "Alice's Adventures" unmounted rubber sheet that the design team is using!

EVERYONE who participates in the challenge will win a brand new digital White Rabbit ATC Collage Sheet, emailed at the end of the challenge!  SO DON'T BE LATE - enter by May 25!
