I'm slowly working my way through Tim's Creative Chemistry course and I am now on day 5 which showcases the stained kraft resist technique, stamping with stains technique and the marbled stains technique. All the products I have used in my tags are available from The Stamp Attic.
I have used the Mona Lisa image which is on two stamp sets HERE, Natures Discovery, and the Papillon stamp set for all my stamping on each tag.
Tag 1 uses the stained kraft resist technique using Distress Stains and the Kraft Resist Paper Stash. I decided to add my decorated piece to corrugated card which I have aged with vintage photo ink. For a little more interest I have added CREATE to the top of my tag using Alpha Parts.
I love how the stains resist the Kraft card, so effective. I also added a little interest to the bottom of my tag stamping the ticket from the Odds and Ends set three times, colouring with broken china and peeled paint ink and securing in place with a long fastener.
Tag 2 uses the stamping with stains technique using picket fence Distress Stain. I stamped my image from the Papillon set with black Archival Ink and added a little dimension to two of my butterflies.
I have added FLY to the top of my tag again using Alpha Parts along with a File Tab adding wishes to the centre.
For more interest I have added a Pen Nib to one of my buterflies.
Tag 3 uses the marbled stains technique again using Distress Stains. Again I have added lots more detail to my tag including the addition of the On The Edge Picket Fence, coloured with peeled paint and faded jeans Distress Ink. My images have been stamped with black Archival Ink and a little dimension has been added to the butterfly.
For added dimension I have included a wire butterfly brass charm along with the sentiment from the Odds and Ends set.
I cut a circle from white card and stamped part of the image from the Natures Discovery set and coloured with broken china and faded jeans ink. All my tags have had coordinated ribbon added.
Thanks for stopping by, Tracy x x
