Altered Alice Chapter 13 Challenge, Week 1 - Honoring The March Hare......

.............Showing us your BEST BUTTER (yellow) in your creation. I cannot believe another month has passed by since our last challenge and here we are again with my piece honoring the March Hare using my BEST BUTTER (yellow).
Our sponsor this month is RED EOWYN who supply a highly detailed collection of American-made Alice in Wonderland stamps one of which I have used in my creation.
My background is created from torn pages from an Alice in Wonderland book which I have coloured with Distress Ink mustard seed and then toned down with a little Gesso to give me more of a BUTTER yellow. A little machine stitching has been added to the outside edge for a little more interest.
My image has been stamped onto a heart in StazOn stone grey to tone with the yellow and again machine stitched around the outside edge and added to a heart that I have coloured with Distress Ink weathered wood. MARCH HARE has been computer generated and printed onto some ribbon and machine stitched to the bottom of my card. I have added a watch face from Tim's Idea-ology for a little dimension and my sentiment is also from RED EOWYN.
Its the little touches that I like, for instance some of the torn pages I added in the background highlights some of the details in my card e.g. MARCH HARE, to co-ordinate with my image, HEARTS to co-ordinate with the heart shapes in my card and TWINKLE TWINKLE to co-ordinate with the sentiment. It's touches like these that really appeal to me.
Buttons threaded with Bakers Twine add a little more interest to my card and again bring in the BUTTER yellow as per our theme this month.
I love the text, which I have again stamped with StazOn stone grey onto white card and sponged with mustard seed and weathered wood ink.

As always, projects that feature Wonderland will have two chances at the prize instead of one. Multiple entries are fine, but each must be on a separate post. Please join us, simply add your creation(s) over at The Altered Alice.

Thanks for stopping by, Tracy x x
