Oh Alice Chapter 42: The Flowers Are Talking!

`O Tiger-lily,' said Alice, addressing herself to one that was waving gracefully about in the wind, `I wish you could talk!'

`We can talk,' said the Tiger-lily: `when there's anybody worth talking to."

Alice was so astonished that she could not speak for a minute: it quite seemed to take her breath away. At length, as the Tiger-lily only went on waving about, she spoke again, in a timid voice -- almost in a whisper. `And can all the flowers talk?'

`As well as all can,' said the Tiger-lily. `And a great deal louder.'

Hello from all of us in Wonderland! This week we would like you to have a go at making your own flowers! So get fun creating, we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Here is my take on this weeks challenge:
I decided to decorate a heart box this week.  My box has had two coats of Gesso, allowed to dry and then a thick coat of Faded Jeans Distress Crackle Paint added.  Once dry, I have rubbed more Gesso into the cracks.  My flower has been created using The Artistic Stamper Flower Power Sheet, stamped on Tim's Vintage Shabby Paper Stack.  Alice has been stamped onto white card with StazOn Timber Brown ink, cut out and adhered to the box, along with the sentiment "Curiouser and Curiouser".
I have also added images to the side of my box using a small heart punch.  Each image has been stamped with StazOn Timber Brown and sponged with DI Broken China.
I will probably keep this box to house a jewellery gift for my daughter or a member of the family.
The Design Team have also created some great pieces for this weeks challenge, why not pop along and pay the Twisted Team a visit:

This week we are being sponsered by 'Some Odd Girl', who have gorgeous Digi Stamps that the DT have been luckily enough to create with this week. So get creating your own flowers for your chance to win some of your very own ' Some Odd Girl' Images!

You have until Friday the 10th of Dec to play long with us!  Link you image at the Oh Alice blog and good luck.  Until the next time, Tracy x x

Hi Tracey, lovely altered box! The blue colours go well with the freezing weather and icy snow we have had here for a week now, lol. Crackle paint has to be one of my favourite mediums, and love the flower you made, it adds so much interest! x
