Sketched Mini Book

Welcome, today I have a mini accordion, decorated using my A6 Stamp Sketched Happiness #177 from AALLandCreate. All products are available from our Stockists, which you can find HERE.
I love creating miniature projects and today I have a little accordion book. I began by die cutting my book using Eileen Hull's Needle Book Die from mountboard and I then brayered Dina Wakley Paints onto the background, using Tangerine, Lime, Turquoise and Magenta, applying the layers very lightly to my substrate.
Both the front and back covers were stamped with my quirky flowers from my Sketched Happiness stamp set.
I incorporated an accordion into my book, again adding layers of paint with my brayer. I added stamping using VersaFine Clair Ink and then added touches of colour with Gel Pens.
Torn vintage book pages add a touch more interest along with delicate splatters of white paint.
I also die cut a circle from scrap card and then used the aperture as a stencil, applying Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink over the aperture, giving a further layer of interest.
I love the sentiments on this set and stamped them throughout my accordion.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. Tracy x x

Botanical Journal

Welcome, today I have a small journal, decorated using my A4 Stamp Numbered Botanical #110 from AALLandCreate.
I love creating these small books and this time around I opted for my Botanical stamp set, stamping the fern with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
I die cut a circle from scrap card and then blended Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink lightly over the circular aperture to give spotlights to my front and back covers.
I had fun stamping the fern onto shrink plastic and adding the smaller fern as an embellishment to my design. I also stamped the Fern wording and numbers onto shrink for further interest.
I also incorporated some vintage wooden numbers to coordinate with the numbers in my stamp design.
I love the numbers stamped on my spine, adding a touch more detail to my book.
This stamp has so many wonderful small details and so many possibilities. This picture shows some of that fine detail.
I also incorporated some wooden slices stamped with some of the number detail in the stamp.

Eclectic Silhouette

Welcome, today I have a mixed media card, using my A4 Stamp Eclectic Silhouette #113 from AALLandCreate.
I began by applying Gesso through a circular aperture, applying the Gesso with a piece of Cut 'n' Dry Foam and then dried the layer with my Heat Tool. I then applied Distress Oxide Vintage Photo to my background, the Gesso resists the ink and gives me a resist.
I also added a touch more stencilling using Autour de Mwa's stencil #39 Lotza Dotz, applying Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink directly over the stencil and then spritzing with water.
I added stamping to the background using VersaFine Clair Acorn ink and then added layers to give definition to my design. I stamped the silhouette a second time with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and then blended the ink with a waterbrush around the edges of the silhouette to give a touch of shading.
I also added a tea bag to my design for a touch more texture along with two die cut circles for added interest.
I love the layers and dimension on this card. To complete, I added a couple of pieces of media tape randomly to my background.

Find Beauty in the Ordinary

Welcome, today I have a small mixed media book, decorated using my A4 Stamp Eclectic Silhouette #113 from AALLandCreate.

I began by adding some subtle stencilling to my background and then adding colour, applying Distress Oxide Bundled Sage to a piece of Acetate, spritzing with water and then pressing the ink onto my background.  I allowed the ink to dry naturally.
I opted to use the Dragonfly this time around from my A4 stamp, adding a couple of layers to the wings for added dimension.
I applied Dina Wakley Fuchsia Acrylic Paint to my stamp, adding a light layer of paint to the stamp and applying the paint with a Brayer. I then stamped the image onto my background. Remember to clean your stamp after using paints.
I added a subtle touch of Crackle Paste to the background and also incorporated a mini spanner for the body, adding further dimension to the design.
A couple of Jump Rings add further interest along with a few delicate splatters of Lime Acrylic Paint.
I used a Distress Crayon over Stencil #39 and then blended the colour with my finger to blend.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your comments and feedback. Tracy x x

Botanical Artist Trading Block

Welcome, today I have an Artist Trading Block, decorated using my A4 Stamp Numbered Botanical #110 from AALLandCreate.
An Artist Trading Block seemed the perfect substrate to showcase my Numbered Botanical Stamp, more sides meaning I can showcase all the details of this fabulous stamp.
Each side showcases all the details from my A4 stamp, each side stamped with Distress Oxide Inks, adding a few delicate splatters of black paint to coordinate with the black matt behind.
I added an Artist Trading Coin to the top of my Block, adding further height and detail to my design.
I added a cut out fern to the top of my block along with some soft silver wire and metal embellishment.

With Brave Wings She Flies

Welcome, today I have a mixed media piece using my A4 Stamp Eclectic Silhouette #113 from AALLandCreate.
I began this dimension piece with layers of paper from 13 Arts designed by Fiona, decorating all sides of my That's Crafty substrate.
I then added some DecoArt Media Crackle Paste to the sides and edges of my piece to add a further layer of texture, allowing the Paste to dry naturally. I also included a piece of driftwood for added dimension and texture.
My focal image is the silhouette from my A4 stamp which I adore, there are so many possibilites with this stamp and so many details. I stamped the Silhouette onto a piece of 13 Arts Paper and added tocches of colour with Distress Oxide Ink (Vintage Photo).
My background piece has also been covered with Seth Apter's Vintage Beeswax Powder, adding another aged element to my piece.
I added some SnipArt pieces behind my silhouette along with a layer of Crackle Paste applied through a stencil Quadrilaterals which you can find HERE. I also included a SnipArt sentiment 'INSPIRE' coloured with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and then covered with Clear Embossing Powder, adding touches of gold wax to the top.

Fresh Blooms

Welcome, today I have a card using my Doodled Blooms Stamp Set #140 from AALLandCreate.
I spent quite a few hours in my craft room creating projects for deadlines and this card was created from all my leftovers. I love creating with bits left on my desk and seeing where the creative flow takes me.
I was creating backgrounds with Infusions and I still had some ink left on my stencil, which I spritzed with water and then placed the stencil, ink side down onto my card and I love the subtlety of the stencilling on this.
I applied Fresco Finish Paints through a circular aperture, applying the paints with my finger, the colours really pop and coordinate perfectly with my subtle backdrop. I had some torn book pages on my desk and added a small piece to the base of my flower to ground my image.
I love the fresh feel to this piece and it's surprising what you can create from leftover bits and pieces.
Thanks so much for popping by and leaving a comment. Tracy x x
