Animal Instinct

Today I have a card for you combining one of Olga's stamps in conjunction with my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp. You can find Olga's stamp HERE and my Layered Grunge Stamp HERE. All available from AALLandCreate.
I love working on craft card, this time around using Dina Wakley Paints over a white painted backdrop and then blending two colours to give a seamless colour backdrop. I also added some Infusion Crystals to the background and then spritzed with water.
I added some stamping to the inside of the card this time around also incorporating some delicate splatters of paint.
Background stamping using my A4 Layered Grunge Stamp has been added randomly to the background along with some delicate splatters of white paint.
I added the focal imagery to a couple of die cut circles to give dimension and then incorporated a Jump Ring to echo the die cut circles.
Cotton threads also add further texture to the design.

Products used in my card today are listed below:

Love Grows Here

Welcome, today I have a card using my newly released Blossomed Dreams A6 Stamp Set #123 from AALLandCreate. You can purchase the new release from our stockists listed HERE.
I opted for something a little different this time around and used my stamps in conjuction with Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift-Ink and I am really pleased with the results. I began by applying a layer of Pitch Black Alcohol Ink to Yupo, applying with and Alcohol Tool and once the ink was dry, which does not take long, I then applied a good layer of the Alcohol Lift-Ink to my stamp, stamped onto the Alcohol Ink background, dabbed with a piece of kitchen towel and then polished to reveal the image in the background. Love this technique.
I also added some parchment to my design so that my flower appeared half on parchment and half as an Alcohold Ink Lift, the parchment adds another tactile layer to my design.
I also included a wooden jigsaw piece which I painted black and then added my sentiment stamped in white, this just adds a touch of dimension to my design and a fun element too. I also included a monoprint in the background using Autour de Mwa's stencil.
I also included some white cotton threads for further texture and added some delicate splatters of white paint.
This is proving to be one of my favourite flowers at the moment and I love how it looks using the Alcohol Lift-Ink.
For further interest I also included a Index Clip and my Dream sentiment again on parchment and on the Alchol Ink background.

These are the products I used in my make today.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your comments. Tracy x x

Growth in Numbers

Welcome, today I have a post to share with you using my newly released Border Stamp, "Growth in Numbers" from AALLandCreate. You can find a list of our stockists HERE.
I opted to use the whole stamp this time around to show all the wonderful detail. I brayered the background with Dina Wakley Paints and then added a torn piece to the foreground.
I love the size of this flower, it makes a bold statement on a card. This time around I coloured the flower head with Dina Wakley Paints, adding delicate splatters of paint for a further layer of interest.
I added a circle of wire and added a dome to the centre of the flower for added dimension.
I have included a couple more domes and added further splatters of Ruby Paint.
The detail on this stamp is amazing and could be used as a whole or parts of the stamp used in your projects.
I love all the layers in this piece and in real life it is extremely tactile.
Below is a picture of the stamp used in my project.

Love Hearts

I opted for an accordion card today using one of my favourite combination of colours, well my favourite for this month.
I love the comgination of the Cheddar, Fuchsia and Turquoise from Dina Wakley's range of acrylic paints. On this panel I created three different backgrounds, using three different techniques.

  1. Apply Cheddar and Fuchsia Acrylic Paint directly to the stencil, spritz the paint with water and then place the stencil, paint side down onto the white card, remove stencil and then dry the paint.
  2. For the middle panel I applied Fuchsia and Cheddar paint directly to my white card panel, applying with a Brayer and I then placed the stencil onto the painted backdrop and wiped over the stencil with a babywipe to remove some of the paint.
  3. For the third panel I applied my paint layers to a Gelli Plate, placed my stencil down onto the plate, pressed a piece of scrap paper onto the plate, removed the paper and the stencil and then placed my white card panel onto the Gelli Plate to lift the print.
I love how each layer adds so much interest to each panel. I applied Turquoise and touches of Cheddar Acrylic Paint to a piece of scrap white card and then stamped my heart stamp onto the coloured background. Cut out each heart and then ink my border stamp with Archival Ink and stamp the lines onto each of the hearts to add a further layer of interest.
I applied Black Soot Distress Ink to Autour de Mwa's stencil, spritz with water and then placed the stencil ink side down onto my background, dabbing the stencil with a piece of kitchen towel. Remove the stencil and this gives you a monoprint.
Delicate splatters of white paint have also been included along with some number brads for further dimension.
In this picture you can see clearly all the layers added to each of the hearts.
I also incorporated more lines using my border stamp, again stamping with Archival Ink.

The products used in my accordion are listed below:

You can find each of my stamp sets HERE and HERE and HERE, along with the stencil from HERE.

Don't Forget To Fly

Welcome today I have a little book for you decorated using my Butterfly stamp from AALLandCreate. You can find the stamp HERE.
I recently had a play day at my lovely friend Anne Redfern's house along with Rita and Annie and it was an absolutely fantastic day to just spend time with like-minded creatives. I started the covers of this book at Anne's house and then continued with the process once I arrived home. Eileen Hull's Passport Book is one of my favourite dies and has so many possibilites when combined with different mediums.
I painted my covers and also incorporated lots of texture to create a wonderfully tactile piece.
I also incorporated added texture, applying Texture Paste over Autour de Mwa's stencil #28 Broken Circle which you can find HERE.
I stamped my butterfly image onto music paper and then applied Seth Apter's Baked Texture Vintage Beeswax over the wings, adding several layers for added texture. I also applied some delicate touches of gold with Pebeo Wax.
I also incorporated an ATC Coin to give further dimension along with some rusty tin wire and some jump rings added randomly to the background. The focal piece is backed onto a piece of torn music paper.

The products used in ths piece are shown below:

I'd rather be in my garden than anywhere on earth

Welcome, today I have another card for you using my newly released Doodled Blooms #140. All the new release is available from AALLandCreate Stockists, a list of which you can find HERE.
I began by creating a background of colour using Dina Wakley Paints, Magenta and Tangerine, I love these two colours together, so bright and uplifting.
I then placed Autour de Mwa's stencil on the background and removed some of the paint from the open areas on the stencil with a babywipe.
I also added a monoprint to the background again using another of Autour de Mwa's stencils. I simply applied Distress Ink Black Soot directly to the stencil, spritzed with water and then placed the stencil ink side down onto my background.
I also included some skeleton leaves for added texture and also included the sentiment from my stamp set, which is perfect for me, being a keen gardener.
My flower takes centre stage, stamped onto a scrap of white card brayered with Magenta Acrylic Paint.
These are the products I have used in my card today.

Blossomed Numbers

Hi and welcome, today I have another project using my newly released A4 Stamp "Blossomed Numbers" from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our stockists HERE, simply scroll down for the list.
This time around I opted to combine my stamps with Eileen Hull's Passport die, which I adore.
I painted the Passport book with Black paint and then dry brushed white paint over the top, adding stencilling in the background for added texture.
I opted for a simple colour scheme so that the flower could take centre stage. I wrapped the flower around the binding and added a dome to the centre for added dimension.
I added a month to the centre of my flower using my "Date it" Stamp Set along with a red heart. I also included some rusty tin wire for added interest.
The red splatters echo the red in the heart on the centre of the flower. I also added some machine stitching to the flower.
The texture from the stencil has shown up perfectly with the dry brushing, I love how this turned out.
I added a further dome to highlight the Blossom along with some touches of cheesecloth for added texture.
I can see me using this stamp quite a lot in the next few weeks.
I also added domes to the back of my Passport Book to coordinate with the front.
The products used in my creation today are listed below:
