Girl With Attitude!

I have been creating once again with Trish Latimer's WhimsyGirl Three, one of Trish's newly released stamps, which you can find HERE.
I opted for a vibrant colour palette this time around, just to show that you can use the image in many different ways from mixed media (my first piece which you can find HERE), rusty (as in my last piece which you can find HERE) and bright and colourful which I have used on this occasion.
I applied Grunge Paste over the Stripes Layering Stencil and then added colour with Distress Paints and then spritzed with water to blend the colours as I went along.
She has a lovely stripey dress and I added a further layer of interest by adding Distress Crayons over the circle stencil. I also applied Distress Crayons over the stripes to make some of the colours pop a little more. She is also holding a little wooden bird which I coloured with Distress Ink.
I added splatters of white paint and added some white markings with a pen to add contrast. I added Black Soot Distress Crayon around the edges of her dress for definition.
I coloured her face and hair with pencils and added touches of black along with circles drawn around the image to act as a spotlight. I included Chitchat stickers for further interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy xx

Be You, Bravely!

I have been creating once again with Trish Latimer's WhimsyGirl Three, one of Trish's newly released stamps, which you can find HERE.
I opted to give Trish's WhimsyGirl the rusty treatment today.
I used Finnabair's Prima Rust Pastes to add the texture and rust effect to my card.
She is holding a rusty star and I have added delicate splatters of paint as a contrast and also included very light highlights with Treasure Gold.
I applied Grunge Paste over the Stars Layering Stencil to add texture and interest to the backdrop along with some cotton fibres.
added a Chitchat sticker and coloured her face with coloured pencils and added a piece of natural twine for added texture and interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Dreamer!

Today I have been creating with Trish Latimer's WhimsyGirl Three, one of Trish's newly released stamps, which you can find HERE.
I opted to use Trish's stamp in conjunction with PaperArtsy Infusions to give her a mixed media feel.
I applied Grunge Paste through one of Tim Holtz number stencils and then added the Infusions to colour; layering the colour bit by bit until I was happy with the depth.
I applied Grunge Paste through Tim Holtz Stars Layering Stencil onto her dress and again coloured with Infusions. I added two layers to her dress for added dimension. She is also holding a small wooden star to echo the stars on her dress.
I added white highlights with a white pen and added splatters of white paint to add contrast to the design.
I also added a circle of white paint using an old lid along with a touch of shading around the edge of the Whimsy Girl using Pumice Stone Distress Marker. The circle of paint acts as a spotlight to the image. I added a touch of colour to her face and hair with pencil crayons.

Thanks Trish for the opportunity to use one of your fabulous stamps.
