Floral Canvas

Morning and welcome. Today I have a circular canvas using my A5 Stamp "Best Wishes" #329.
I created this piece during a Facebook Live and the video is below should you wis to watch it on rewind.

The video showcases the step by steps from start to finish.
I love the embossed lines in the background on this piece they really do work so well for added dimension and texture to the design.
The pop of red on the flowers and embellishment really add a pop to this piece.
I also incorporated some metal embellishments for further dimension.

Vintage Canvas

Morning everyone, hope you are enjoying your Christmas festivities. Today I am showcasing a mixed media canvas using my newly released A6 Stamp "Style It" #245, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I loved creating this canvas, just losing myself in creating lots of layers for a real tactile piece.
I began by applying lots of layers of vintage book pages and then colouring those pages with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I then added a layer of crackle paste for further texture and interest.
An embroidery hoop seemed the perfect partner with the focal imagery, once again I coloured the hoop with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and added touches of Gold Wax for a metallic touch.
I incorporated some threads and soft metal wire for a further textural element. I also added dimension to my bodice.
A small twig heart and some coordinated stones finish the design.
I added a touch of colour to the crackle paste, applying Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the surface. I pressed my Ink onto a non-stick craft sheet, spritzed with water and then used a water brush to add a wash over the texture.

Dipsacus

Today I am showcasing a mixed media card  using my newly released A5 Stamp "Teasel" #239, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I opted for fresh greens this time around for my teasel image. I also feel the green gives this piece a really natural organic feel.
I am always looking for different ways to add textural elements to my designs and this time around I opted to stamp onto layers of kitchen towel which I had stitched together.
I included some metal elements to add further interest to the design. I also love the random stitching on this piece which gives a further textural element.
I stamped with Archival Ink onto the tissue to ensure the ink did not bleed.
A few delicate splatters of black work so well for me against the freshness of the green. I also added some black stamping onto the metal piece using my number background from my Brush Flower Stamp set #234.
A few pieces of vintage book pages finish my piece.
Thanks so much for popping by and leaving a comment. Tracy x x

Quirky Flower

Today I am showcasing a canvas using my newly released A5 Stamp "Wild and Free" #238 combined with my newly released A7 Background Stamp "Squares" #260, and my A7 Stamp "Mesh" #262 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.
I opted for a little mixed media piece this time around with a canvas,  using turquoise and browns.
I adore the texture from the clay squares, highlighting the wonderful detail with wax.
I included some rusty wire for added texture and added some creases to my card and highlighted those creases further with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink, simply swiping the inkpad across the card.
I also incorporated a touch of background stamping using my very versatile "Mesh" background stamp and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
Adding my sentiment onto calico adds a further texture to my canvas.
Further lengths of rusty wire add a further texture to my design. I also included some white splatters for added lightness to my piece.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your support. Tracy x x

Time Flies

Today I am showcasing a canvas I created on my Hochanda Show on Friday 9th August and Saturday 10th August using my A4 Stamp "Time Flies" #143, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

You can re watch the shows on catch up if you missed them the first time around.
I applied vintage book pages to my canvas board with Distress Collage Medium and then applied Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint to my board, applying a good even layer and then placed the alphabet stencil onto the wet paint and used a baby wipe to wipe over the open areas of the stencil. I then dried the layers of paint.
I love adding pops of red to Turquoise and Lime, I think it packs a punch to the design. I also added delicate splatters of red paint. I also stamped the clock from the Time Flies stamp in the background using VersaFine Clair Ink.
A couple of layers have been added to the butterfly to give further dimension to the design. I love how the text from the book pages is visible below the stencilling.
No butterfly is complete without the addition of a rusty nail and some cotton threads for added texture. I also included some delicate splatters of white paint.
To complete, I incorporated the sentiment 'Time Flies'.
Thanks so much for stopping by and as always, thank you so much for your continued support. Tracy x x

Be Different

I created something just for fun today and I really enjoyed the process.
Sometimes its wonderful to just create because you want to create and no other reason and this piece is the result of a couple of hours of just going with the flow.
I am a great love of clay faces and I knew I wanted to incorporate one in this piece and this is using one of my favourite moulds.
I found some tacks in my stash and I really enjoyed hammering them into my canvas and they add such a fun element to my design. I love using items that are a litte quirky.
With the tacks in place I had to wrap some cotton around for added texture along with some soft silver wire behind my face, adding cheesecloth for further interest.
I added Mint Green Paste over an AALL&Create stencil and added a wash of Distress Paints once the paste was completely dry to age a little.
Before applying any of my elements I added a coat of Vintage Photo Distress Paint to my canvas, giving the perfect aged backdrop for my design.

I really enjoyed being a little different today!

Doodled Art

Sometimes I love to create artwork from those bits and pieces left on my desk following a creative spell and today I am showcasing my newly released Border Stamp, Numbered Pencils #165 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I had this background lying around on my desk, sometimes I have a few hours just creating backgrounds and this one was courtesy of Distress Oxide Inks Vintage Photo and Evergreen Bough.
I had several die cut circles lying around and opted to utilise those in this design, both acting as spotlights in the background. I added touches of colour with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
A scrap of hessian was also utilised in the background along with a broken pencil which I hand stitched to my card.
The central card piece I also scrunched to give crease lines which would be more visible once I added ink and really adds to the aged feel.
A few pen lines around the outside edges of my canvas along with a few scraps of vintage book pages complete the design.
