Welcome, today I have a mixed media piece using my A4 Stamp Ladybug #161 from AALLandCreate. All products are available from our Stockists, which you can find HERE.
I really enjoyed creating this piece, adding lots of layers to my design. I will be teaching this in a workshop on 13th July for Cal Summers. There will be a choice of two framed pieces, you can make either one, the second of which will be shown very soon. We will be adding lots of layered elements to our design, creating a tactile piece in the company of like-minded people.
If you would like to book the workshop on the 13th you can contact Cal Summers whose Facebook page you can find HERE. More details will follow soon but you can still book prior to any advertising, if you wish. Cal also has an on-line page HERE. The workshop will be held in Stafford.
I have added a few close up shots so that you can see all the details in the background.
I love adding stitched elements to my designs.
Chicken wire adds a quirky element to the design.
This is definitely one of those pieces that needs to be seen in real life as it is so tactile.
I look forward to seeing some of you on 13th July. Tracy x

Framed Ladybird
I am really enjoying creating dimensional pieces at the moment and today I am showcasing my newly released A4 Stamp, Ladybug #161 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I have combined vintage tones with touches of red, one of my favourite combinations.
Once again I have added lots of layers to my ladybird, including wire, clay and vintage book pages.
A few delicate splatters of paint coordinate with the red in the ladybird. I added a frame to five further dimension to my piece and to draw the eye into the focal imagery.
I also added some Distress Crayon around the edges to give dimension along with a Tim Holtz Story Stick.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Vintage Ladybug
Today I am showcasing my newly released A4 Stamp, Ladybug
#161 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I love creating with a vintage palette, it always makes me happy and I find it the easiest to use. This time around I am showcasing my large Ladybug onto a canvas adding a framed element for added dimension.
I added vintage book pages to my canvas and then added some delicate stencilling. Once dry I then added some washes of paint to the background, allowing it to drip down.
I stamped the imagery ont the background of my canvas and then added layers to the Ladybug element only.
I included book pages to the ladybird, wire, and a mica tile along with some vintage wooden numbers. I also stamped the word 'BUG' onto vintage book pages tore it out and added to the body.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x

Ladybird Frame
Today I am showcasing my newly released A4 Stamp, Ladybug #161 from AALLandCreate. All the new products are available from our Stockists listed HERE.
I love creating dimensional, layered pieces and this is one of those that developed the more I experimented.
I began with a background painted with Prima Impasto Paints Linen and Dark Chocolate, blending the colours with a little water. The linen also gives a little lightness to the darker tone.
I added a clay piece to the centre and I am absolutely delighted with the detail retained in the clay. I also added some chicken mesh over the top to act like a protective layer, afterall we need to protect our Ladybirds!
I added some delicate stamping to the background using Gold Acrylic Paint to echo the gold highlights on the frame and also the gold touches added to the edges of the piece. I included a vintage floor nail wrapped with twine for added interest.
This picture shows those gold details a little better and I also added some natural hessian behind my clay piece, again for added texture.
A touch more stamping added to card and then added to my frame. The chicken wire was also aged a little with some Alcohol Ink.

Ladybug
Welcome, today I have a project using one of my newly released stamps, this time around showcasing my A4 Stamp #161 Ladybug. I am absolutely delighted with the detail on this stamp and the Ladybird is fast becoming one of my favourites. You can find a list of our Stockists HERE.
I began with a brayered background, adding layers of paint to give depth to the card. On this occasion I only stamped part of the image from the A4 Stamp Set. I adore this ladybug!
To add a little more detail to my ladybug I also added layers of bookpages to the body along with some coiled wire and a circular die cut piece, acting as a spotlight to my design.
I incorporated some vintage wooden numbers to echo the numbers in the background of the stamp and I also included a story stick for added interest and dimension.
Wire mesh has been added to the background for added texture and a few delicate splatters of red paint to lift the whole design.
I love how all the layers can be seen and work so well together in the design.
I hope you like this A4 stamp as much as I do, its fantastic to create with.
